Reviewed By V731PR_gThis is not an Hotel. i saw many Hostels better than this. even there is no English speaker reception. One person they have and she doesn't know what is customer means what is hospitality. Staff is rude and doesn't care what you say... i told the girl i hanged the "clean my room card" on my room door but no one is cleaned my room. She answered: "if you don't like the hotel you don't have to stay. Stay another place." How convenient isn't it? Hotel is dirty. Not clean. They didn't clean my room for 2 days even i hang sign everyday. they cleaned once after i told them 3 days in a row. Place called "restaurant" is awful. There is no staff. There is no properly cleaned utencils and glasses. Same thing in everyday breakfast. At the end i DON'T RECOMMEND staying there. Place is awfull and full of rude staff.

Reviewed By RokaMarijanSpent one night here due to my business trip to Schwelm. Didn’t try the restaurant and the breakfast due to my very early flight. The room was okay, nothing special, standard, ordinary hotel room, the best part was the bed, which was just perfect, although the room was pretty cold, and didn’t warmed up till morning. I missed the touch of perfection when I checked in, in the reception they knew about my early flight and in other hotels they always prepare some snacks for people who leave earlier.

What a location: in the historic old town of Schwelm, only about a half hour drive from Cologne or Dusseldorf with their int. airports and fair grounds on the northern edge of the Bergisches Land. This charming Boutique Hotel in a restored schoolhouse, built 1915, opened September 2018 offering 35 beautiful guestrooms with oakwood floors and all contemporary comfort. Freshwater fountains on the floors, a schoolhouse kiosk offering a selction of drinks and snacks, a private sauna for relaxation and a car park are additional benefits. In the restaurant "Die Turnhalle" with lounge, bar and terrace overlooking a park and the historic old town of Schwelm, young chef Oliver Jacoby and his team are creating exceptional gourmet menues and regional specialities.

Reviewed By nihan19721969The hotel is super and the restaurant is excellent. The rooms are maybe tiny but the bed is super comfortable and so is the cleaning service. The staff is very helpful and as well as kind. I liked it a lot and definitely will be staying here again

Very good overnight option
Reviewed By 117mirekbDecent hotel with very kind croatian owner. Rooms are standard, no luxury, but they have had everything you need. On the first floor is nice bar and restaurant with a very good draft beer and variations of the croatian dishes in the menu.

Freundliches Personal aber....
Reviewed By Michael NHier kann ich ausschließlich nur das Restaurant bewerten! Das Personal ist freundlich aber es fehlt die Herzlichkeit. Es kommt kein Wohl fühl Effekt zustande. Die Ausstattung ist in den Jahren gekommen, überfüllt mit geschmackloser Dekore. Blumen (oder was es auch immer war) auf dem Tisch werden wohl einmal in großen Abständen ausgetauscht. Die Salatbar ist auch kein Hit und lädt eher zum Verzicht ein. Die Speisekarten sind alt, abgegriffen und unübersichtlich. Gesamteindruck Dinge, die man mit etwas liebevoller Hand ändern könnte. In der Speisekarte findet man kroatische und deutsche Gerichte . Diese werden appetitlich angerichtet serviert. Da ich öfters hier esse, kann ich sagen das es hier nichts zu Beanstanden gibt. Der Preis stimmt und das Essen ist gut und reichlich.
