Reviewed By El_WawaIt’s the only hotel in Mejillones which deserve the hotel status and if you know the city, you are positively surprised by this hotel. The rooms are nice and well equipped. The amenities are grim good quality. There is a huge terrace on the roof with sofas, pillows, etc... and a small gymnasium. I recommend this hotel for sure.

Reviewed By Gavin PHence to Mejillones, and the wrong hotel. It's called Alto Sol de Mejillones, and there are two of them. Same name, same building, same owners, two blocks apart. I went to the wrong one, apparently. Why would any company do that? Aside from that, if you absolutely have to be in this gritty soul-less town, this (these?) is where to stay. Perfectly serviceable with good, accomplished staff and at a fairly reasonable rate. Do, however, opt for the one without 'Plaza' in the name. I was there on a Saturday night and the plaza positively vibrates with over-cranked sound systems competing with the equally cheap systems of corner bars. Luckily my window gave out onto the open stage right below which hosted an incredibly loud fat bloke channelling Engelbert Humperdinck by way of Enya. A joy!
