Hammarstrand camping, Beautiful campsite between Östersund and Sundsvall on the Indalsälven. We are open all year round. We rent out stuga's and a 2 person bungalow incl. Shower and kitchen. The campsite is in a quiet location surrounded by nature and overlooks the river Indalsälven where you can swim and fish from the campsite. There are also boats and canoes for rent and directly from the campsite you can go up the river, in high season the heated pool is open. We have a heated sanitary building fully equipped with a disabled shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchen is available, a washing machine and dryer can be used for a small fee. There is a separate room where you can empty your toilet from the caravan / camper. At the campsite there is a small café with terrace where you can order sandwiches, have breakfast, eat a delicious ice cream or eat a small meal or bring it to your camping equipment. There is a small shop for forgotten groceries. Welcome on Hammarstrand camping

Reviewed By Vincent EWe have been on this camping for 4 days, just after midsommar and in Covid19 time. Fisrt a compliment to housekeeping. Everything was very clean and enough desinfection for your hands everywhere were needed. Big enough camping places in sun or shadow... The view over the rivier was stunning. The couple who runs the place are very kind and helpfully. There is a breakfast and diner opportunity if you like. Also there is a hottub, BBQ cabin and bastu available for rent... We had the hottub. It was nice with, again, view over the river. There are a lot of things to see and in the area. Like... *Döda Fallet *The old wooden church of Hammarstrand, *The hanging bridge and lots of hiking trails. *The Thai paviljon Thank you for having us and we will be back for sure.

Hotell Hammarstrand i Jämtland ligger omgiven av en fantastisk miljö. Här kan man vandra på både toppen av bergen och botten av sjön... (Ragundasjön som tömdes år 1796 av Magnus Huss) Ditt besök i Ragunda kan se ut på många sätt utifrån vilka förutsättningar som föreligger. Du kan vara en erfaren jägare eller skogsmänniska eller bara den som vill komma ut i tystnaden och långt bort ifrån storstad och vad som annars är din vardag. Här finns den maximala rekreationen, där hälsa, aktiviteter och god vällagad mat gör din vistelse till en njutning för hela dig och lite till.
Great restaurant
Reviewed By Mats OStayed here for one night. Ate a three course dinner and it was fantastic, breakfast is good. Rooms are pretty simple and bathrooms too but beds are ok. Nature around this area is fantastic. Give this hotel a stop. If you are passing by I recommend the restaurant.

Father with 3 boys on winter holiday
Reviewed By 804olabThis place truly is a hidden gem. Me and my two teenage boys and a 26 year old stayd in two seperate bedroom with a toilet in the big mansion. The beds and sheets were very nice and comfartable with a view over the ski sloap. We went snowboarding and skiing which actually is only a minute away with many winter activities. The breakfast was amazing with an option for vegan pancakes which were absolutely delicious. We also ate evening dinner twice(avaliable for staying guests) because the food was so great. The owners are really welcoming and service minded. We would really recomend anyone to stay here. To Chantal and Robin, thx for a great stay.
