Nice Farm Setting
Reviewed By ChriscrewThomas & Mary have quite the history on this property and one should keep in mind that this is not a working farm house. I believe it is Thomas' family home and as such, there are all sorts of furnishings and things from generations of living there. They were a bit stiff to talk to at first but the next morning we had a nice conversation with both of them as we finished our tasty breakfast. Staying here reminds me of staying at my grandparents place on a farm in Yoder, Oregon and how I miss do miss that. Nothing too fancy but you get what you need. The room and bathroom were maybe a bit tight but it was for one night and it was fine. The walk into town is a bit long and there is not a real good path next to the road so use caution.

Nightmare of a hotel
Reviewed By thet749We actually stayed here in 2019, but for some strange reason our review we posted back then has disappeared? We booked 2 family rooms, one room for my self , my wife and my son and the other for my Father and brother . We arrived in the early afternoon before my farther and brother and was greeted in reception by a smelly dog sleeping behind the reception desk! The owner came out of another room and then greeted us. We were shown to one of the rooms by the owner and as we walked past other rooms we are told that if we didn’t not like the room we had been given there were others available? We walked into the room and noticed how dirty and dated it was . The room looked as if it had not been decorated since the late 1980s! The bathroom was filthy and the wall pugs sockets and fixtures were wobbly and some were hanging off the walls. We asked to see another room and it was as if we had walked back into the same room again. With that we didn’t bother unpacking and we headed back out to reception where we noticed the restaurant room was just as dirty and disjointed as the rooms were , with a table full of dusty plush toys all stacked on top of each other ? The owner was still in the reception area and I said we would not be staying , as the rooms were not suitable . The owner said abruptly he could not give a refund! We said we would take it up with the booking agent. We phoned my father and brother saying we would meet them in Listowel town and we would book somewhere there! We booked into the main hotel in Listowel town and It was lovely. My advice would be, if you are thinking about booking into this hotel , please don’t and keep on driving !

SUPERB B & B
Reviewed By chaiprakarnI stayed with Bernadette and John with a couple of friends from South Africa and we had a lovely night; beautifully decorated bedrooms overlooking Loch Lomond, a warm welcome and spectacular breakfast in the morning. It is very well located and comes strongly recommended.
