Woodooliparc

Terrasse Dufferin Slides

An exciting high-speed toboggan ride along a slick ice tube.

My wife and I had this on our agenda to try during our visit to Quebec City. We first did this ride on Friday, January 24th at about 4:00pm after hiking in Jacques Cartier parc and visiting the Ice Hotel during the day. There was no line at this time of day maybe because it was near closing and there was a chilly wind at the time. The cost is only $6.00 for 2 people which we thought was reasonable. You buy tickets at a well marked kiosk at the bottom of the slide. You need to pull your sled up the hill which is a small challenge but nothing that should discourage you from wanting to do this ride. After handing your ride tickets to the attendant at the top, they place your sled in position and inform you how to remain seated on the sled. Then they release you. You get going quite fast which we found very enjoyable. We liked this ride so much we went back about the same time the next day to do again. The view from the top of the slide is very nice as well since you can view the river.

Valcartier Vacation Village

Reviewed By abbya626 - Portland, United States

We took a long weekend to visit Quebec City in November 2017 and visited Parc Bora on our last day before heading home to Maine. We spent about 7 hours in the water park without stopping, it was so much fun- both for us (the bigger slides and the wave pool and surfing thing) and our young son. Our 3 year old, a water kid through and through, had a blast. When it was time to go we stopped to have dinner in the adjoining cafe and he looked longingly toward the park, saying "I miss it already!" The facilities were very clean and well kept, and life vests are provided for little kids. It would have been fun to make it an adults-only trip, too, but the look of wonder and delight on our son's face was beyond worth it. We will definitely be back.

We have hiked many trails around the world, but we still love our Canadian forests best. This National Park features easy, moderate and challenging hikes with great vistas and several waterfalls. The colours in the fall are spectacular!
