Food were homemade taste , staffs friendly , The jungle safari arranged by resort was worth it...They also arrange for ooty sight visit and nearby visit Mr Inbam and Mr Thufail were very friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay . Rooms were good . I suggest you take the Bamboo made rooms .. ... Best wishes guyz....

This is the most amazing place to take a break from technology! Literally.No cellular network, not much of lighting on the streets, close to the bushes of the forest. You need to make a choice on what type of room you are looking for with a suite, tiled roof in the first floor and a simple room. It is small one and cute type. You will have a homely feeling.

Reviewed By SriniAbiUsually when I return from a vacation I would feel happy. But when I returned from Kodaikanal I missed the place not just felt happy. What made me to miss that place ? The answer is straightforward "Atman Homestay" A beautiful bungalow located in a serene place amidst pear tress. I assume the owners have put their heart and soul building this bungalow. US styled garage, unique living room filled with artistic decors, 1000's of music CDs, curved kitchen and spacious, naturally lit peaceful bedrooms. I never expected a warmer place in Kodaikanal, it was not warm because of the bed warmer placed on the bed but due to the lovely couple who hosed us. The smile on their face had put smile on our face, in fact we reached the home stay at 4.20 in the morning but their beaming smile and warm welcome had made our sleepy faces become energetic. They made sure we feel at home, may it be the timely filter coffee or the delicious Poori Sabji or the way they speak to us through out the day. Bedroom was cozy with the bed warmer and 24 hour hot water to bath was a respite for the cold Kodai weather. Things remained same through out the two and half days when we stayed. They assisted in visiting some places by arranging taxis, though our purpose of the visit was to spend relaxing time we visited few places(maybe social pressure). My 6 year old became close to the couple with whom she played till late night. While I was there I admired the detailing with which they do anything and the passion with which they spoke about their home and other collections which they have kept at home. On the final day when we were about to start i simply didn't feel happy rather felt should I leave this wonderful place, awesome people and get back to the concrete jungle ? My little one literally cried stating she wouldn't come leaving the place and the couple. Such intense was the feelings. Overall a trip which made me to miss a place and people for the first time on a vacation. I am sure this trip to Kodai will make me feel nostalgic for long time and that's because of Atman home stay and the wonderful couple. Are you the one who looks for a peaceful place to enjoy your vacation ? Then Atman Homestay it is.

Secluded away from everywhere, this is where the wilderness comes to your doorstep and becomes you. With a surrounding landscape that includes semi-deciduous forest, coffee plantations, grassy knolls and a stream, the lodge offers a varied and distinctive experience. Whether it’s for the family, nature lover, amateur photographer or bird-watcher, there are surprises at every turn. Even while lazing in an easychair on the veranda, you will probably get to see quite a bit of animal and birdlife as there are occasions when they come exploring right up to the lodge.
Not worth the penny!!!
Reviewed By chandrakala rThe resort was not that great.Not worth the money spent. I booked the resort through makemytrip. All other sites quote the same 5500 inclusive of breakfast whereas makemytrip cheated us with only the accommodation. And the Manager denied us complimentary breakfast. Never book through makemytrip. Resort had no activities. It was boring. We had good rain on the second day and water was leaking all over the place and had placed the suitcase in the dressing room n it was all wet. Fruits falling on the roof was quite disturbing all night and mud junks were falling on the bed n sofa. Insects(in the sink) n mosquitoes lives with you inside the room. Highly satisfied with the service. Power backup was there n hot water was provided all the time. Wifi was cut off due to rain. Vehicles not allowed from singara post. We had take a off road drive in jeep to reach the resort. Road was very bumpy. We had to pay extra 400 when we had to come to mudhumalai for safari in the second day. Food was okay but very costly. Good restaurants are less around the town. We had to drive to gudalur for our breakfast on the day2. Not worth the money spent!!

The staff simply cannot do enough to help. The breakfasts were also amazing offering a good mix of traditional and international food.

You may really feel the aroma of sambhar, chutney and hot boiling rasam aromatic magnetically pulling you towards the restaurant located very close to gate and opposite to independent villas.... The entire dining staff work like a well knit born together and family focused to serve others particularly far off Guests from Brahamin class from other parts of India and entire world. They are pious, clean, hygienic and always obliging with smile. Food is very well prepared and served hot. At times the host do request us to be little more patient so that they can give better cooked hot food......this really is a rare of rarest traits in this world of duplicity and vagabonds Prices are expensive from Kumbakonam standard of living but very competitive even from Srirangam, Trichy or Chennai. The taste, aroma and satisfaction itself is to tasted then and there in restaurant.....You will really give your consent of acceptable and agreed consensus...... Rooms are very well maintained with indirect lighting The house keeping staff just do their work and vanish...They seldom interact with guests nor do they neglect or show arrogance for Guests flimsy demands...
