10 Tours in Baddeck That You Shouldn't Miss

February 7, 2022 Janean Rudisill

Baddeck, on Cape Breton Island, is a great base for the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Louisbourg’s fortress. Easily explored on foot, Baddeck’s sole street offers an appealing array of accommodations, restaurants and stores and lovely views of Bras d’Or Lake. Take a kayak tour on the North River, visit Kidston Lighthouse or hike the national park’s trails, cliffs and coves. Back in the town, don’t miss the museum devoted to famed inventor Alexander Graham Bell.

We took this while on a cruise in 2019. I am late writing this review. 6 of us signed up to share a van. The couple who own and run this were delightful. very informative, and accomodating. We covered several of the highlights aroudn town and further out which was what we wanted. They took numerous photos which was very thoughtful. In regards to the photos I would recommend working a bit on photo composition e.g. don't place the subjecs directly in line with the main sight which then blocks that view so just becomes yet one more photo of people rather than a memory of that particular location.

We were on the last cruise ship of the season and the last tour of the season for Misty. We had a wonderful day on our Mini-tour of the Cabot Trail. Misty was very knowledgeable and relaxed. We stopped at several amazing viewing areas and had time for lunch at a local restaurant. We highly recommend Misty for your tour!!
