Rather rate this as "good" rather than average but the rating system is a bit limited. A good base for a few days to tour the area (Derry, Belfast, Giants Causeway etc.) with a hotel bar next door, plenty of restaurants in town and good supermarkety access nearby. Ideally a family venue. The onsite cafe (Dora's) was also handy. Most happy with the attitude and help of the proprietor. Well done Tom.

Full of character, unreal views and spotless

Stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend and could of stayed longer. The cottage is located on the historically signifigant widows Row along the sea front and an enjoyable 20 min walk from the promenade. Close enough but still far enough to escape the busy promenade. The views are unreal and the seating area in the front garden is very peaceful. The cottage itself is full of character, has everything you require for self catering and was spotless. The log burner creates a cosy atmosphere in the evenings and a private car parking space is available at the top of the back garden in the street behind. A perfect base for exploring County Down. Will definitely be returning.

Called in today for lunch. Most tables inside had reservation tickets which is good. But the outside was empty with NO reservation tickets only to be told that they are “far too busy and fully booked”. For a building that had about 5 tables with customers inside and an empty courtyard and a girl working whose personality was lacking it’s no wonder the place always looks dead driving past…

Spent a weekend with our two dogs here and only have good things to say about Didi and her team (Anne and Lucia). We arrived early and we were stunned and thrilled to learn that our cottage was ready. Cute and clean cottage, perfect for two people and dogs (we had a dog-friendly cottage). Location was a great base for visiting family in Warrenpoint and Newry. Will be back in a heartbeat and hopefully our cottage will be available when we next pay a visit.

We stayed in the self catering cottage as a family of four with two small kids. It was all just perfect for us. Two bedrooms and everything we could have possibly needed. Lovely garden for the kids and cottage was spotless. The location is just perfect for driving to different places. It was a great stay and we would recommend it to anyone. I also felt the price was super and appreciated that it wasn’t inflated because of the times that are in it. Thank you :-)
