Reviewed By ShazzamacWe ended up here after LA Marina Boutique Resort and Spa refused to honor our booking. See separate review! Soooooo happy to have stayed at May Bungalows. Pool especially is fabulous, much bigger than many others in this area. It's right next to a good court with cuisines from all around the world. It was a great place to visit any time we were hungry. It's about 50,000 dong taxi to the sort of centre, but there are shops etc around this end of town too. But the thing we loved the most was the manager/receptionist (yin?). She was friendly, honorable, helpful, trustworthy... In fact everything the manager was of LA Marina was not. We had a lovely view from our top floor room. By the way, there are bungalows, and there is a 3 storey small block of 12 rooms, so check which you are booking. I didn't see inside a Bungalow. They looked lovely, but dark. We had a balcony with lovely view, room was bright and sunny, although the bed is more Asian style and a little hard for some westerners. I can't thank Yin enough for her trust in us too (since we agreed verbally what to pay and she didn't take a credit card!). I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.

Very good budget accommodation
Reviewed By eddiieo0oUpon arrival to the accommodation, our expectations where not high. It is set back slightly from the main road that runs through Mui Ne, maybe a 15 second walk up an Alley way. The sign for the guesthouse you can miss it’s not very big, however our transport dropped us right in front. However once in the accommodation we where more than happy. There is a lady that is like the receptionist/house keeper and although her English isn’t the best she is extremely helpful and one of the most pleasant hosts we have experience so far in Vietnam. She even waited with us when our bus to leave didn’t arrive on time. The only complaint with the room is our air con would switch it self off every 30 minutes. To switch it back on we would have to turn it of via the main switch by the front door wait till all the lights on the unit had gone of and then switch back on via the mains which restarted the unit and made it work. Annoying when you wake up hot in the middle of the night. However for the money it is my only complaint of our stay and would still recommend. Do bare in mind it is budget accommodation so don’t expect fluffy beds and pillows. Also if you look to hire scooters do you research, Mui Ne is one of the worst locations for money hungry policing hunting down tourists on scooters.

A unbelievable experience

We checked in, went to dinner, and came back to find bugs crawling in our beds, stained sheets and blankets, dead flies in the sink, and tons of flies in the kitchen. If that wasn't bad enough, when we went to heat up some food, we found a plate of cooked fish in the microwave. We called the property manager and invited her in to inspect the villa and she offered us another villa. We insisted on seeing the new villa first before we move over, which was a good decision because the second villa wasn't much better. Flies and bugs in the bathtub and the kitchen sink, lizards running around, yellow and orange stains on our bed sheet, and barely functioning A/C. We could have made it through the night with new sheet but the A/C condition is unbearable in the middle of summer. The property manager wanted to bring in a technician to fix it for us, but it was already 8:30 pm at night. Since they didn't have another villa to give us, we decided to ask our driver to drive us back to Saigon, a 4 hours drive, which is a lot better than sleeping in that villa.

Reviewed By feelvennyA star for the peaceful environment. A star for the owner of the villa that I was renting in for maintaining well and has everything that a family needs. Everything else Is a negative for this place . Far from everything. No electric car service for who is renting villas. Its gonna be a hassle if you don't have own vehicle. Beach is too far walk for older people or for someone with kids. Swimming pool is NOT FREE. They charge 18months old baby too and also adults who are there to supervise their children in kids pool and not swimming . Over priced restaurant with minimal taste. Made a mistake coming here. Have the best resorts else where with almost the same or even better pricing.

Beautiful Oasis
Reviewed By Ell DLoved this charming little place! 2 Bed apartment has bathroom in each room as well as TVs in living area and each bedroom (we never used TVs though). There is hot water, aircon, wifi and all work well. Staff and owner Van are lovely, very friendly, helpful and polite. Pool is refreshing even at night, as well as outdoor shower at your guesthouse to rinse off. Beds and pillows very comfortable and quiet through the night. It is a bit of a walk into town (10-15 min) but it is on a new road and felt safe walking at night. many food stalls in the center, but restaurant across street is good as well with many viet options. They also have a small convenience/snack area at front desk with beverages as well. I would recommend this beautiful oasis to all.

Best Place in Mui Ne.

We will never be able to thank the owner (Raymonda) and her staff for the wonderful way they took care of us. We were treated like family at the most beautiful property in Mui Ne. Everyone who views the property or stays here say the same thing: They can not believe such a place still exists and has not been turned into a highrise hotel. We have made friends for life and will always cherish the memories of our time there. If you go, say hello to Raymonda, John,Ha and her family for us. All our love to everyone.

Fleur de Vie Bungalows is only 100 m from the beach, 2 min from the daily fish market. The bungalows have a spacious living room, an open kitchen, a separate bedroom with a king size bed, a bathroom with shower, a separate toilet and a private terrace at the back. Outdoor swimming pool free of use. Short & long term stay possible. Wifi available, AC, laundry service, daily housekeeping, breakfast, lunch & dinner on request.
Fraudulent behavior - don’t book!
Reviewed By Henrik EMade several attempts to first claim 50% extra booking fee or make us cancel booking. Then upon check in we found cockroaches in all bungalows, showers didn’t work at all, didn’t change garbage bins in rooms which led to very bad smell after a few days. Wouldn’t recommend for 4 people since extra mattress is only a very thin mattresses on the floor. The worst part is the extremely unprofessional behavior of the owner (who actually lives next to the bungalows) who pretends to not speak English making it very hard to communicate unless she wants to say something. Held passports hostage and refused to give back unless we paid for several claims she made about broken or missing items (towels, glasses, sun beds) which all turned out to be untrue after being yelled at and locking herself in the house to avoid confrontation. All in all ok bungalows and really nice pool but left very bad aftertaste due to the owners horrible frantic behavior. Avoid at all cost! Many other better options in Mui Ne for your well deserved vacation.
