April 27, 2023 Emerita Lamoureux

A patchwork of vineyards and olive groves, dotted with whitewashed hill towns and sun-bronzed beaches—Italy’s southern heel has no shortage of photogenic landscapes. There are a few surprises, too, including the baroque city of Lecce and the Itria Valley, with its UNESCO-listed trulli houses.

Alba Azzurra - CDSHotels

Amazing

I was at Alba Azzurra last week with my family and my in-laws for the second time. The place looked again over the expectation for a 3 star resort. Lots of facilities, a good animation staff and the food looked always tasty with lots of choices for kids and adults. The swimming pools were always cleaned like the rooms and there was lots of entertainment for young people and less young too. We would definitively come back in the future. Ugo

Winery Visit

Drove over an hour from our location to visit Amastuola and was not disappointed! We came on a whim on a Saturday afternoon to taste some wines to purchase. Gessica and the entire team were super accommodating and patient with explaining the wines outside of their normally scheduled tasting. The winery and estate itself is gorgeous and serene - you can walk around the resort and the vineyard. We left with several bottles!

Stunning location overlooking the ocean

Reviewed By 255urbana

We stayed at the Casa del Fico for 3 nights to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. The hotel is small with only a handful of rooms. The location is just stunningly beautiful, overlooking the Adriatic Sea from far above. There are no major cities nearby, only smaller towns. Lecce is about 1 hour drive, and public transportation is almost inexistent, so you need to have a car. Staff and management at the Casa del Fico were very friendly, our room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was tasty, made from largely local products. There are so many other wonderful spots to visit in Italy, so I’m not sure whether we will come back. But I can definitely recommend it.
