Reviewed By Katherine DWe stayed here in Sept 2019. This hotel was very clean and in a great location to visit Zhangjiajie. We took a DiDi to the park front entrance, although you could technically walk it. Food was pretty good - for breakfast it was a big buffet with both Chinese and typical American food, so you could sample a bunch of stuff. We didn't eat lunch or dinner here because it was pretty expensive, and there were good restaurants within walking distance downtown. Highly recommend!

Zhangjiajie No.5 Valley Inn has 40 guests rooms, each is with unique design. It is very close to the west gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest park, only about 2 km. The hotel is in an quiet and peaceful valley with very beautiful scenery. The brilliant and friendly housekeeper service will make you feel at home. Here, birds chirping, streams murmuring, fragrant flowers blossoming all year round.

Reviewed By rcummins541This resort is amazing. Not only are the grounds and views spectacular, but the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our liaison Rain, took care of all our needs. The resort offers insights on what to see at the national park and provides a shuttle service to the west gate entrance. The food served is also amazing, although it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a few snacks for your room. The sunset dinner is delicious and highly recommend! If you are also leaving to the airport they will also provide shuttle service for a affordable fee. Truly a magnificent place to stay for a couple or with friends!

Reviewed By marilynmodivaWithout a doubt, staying at Homeward Mountain was/is our favourite place to date - and we've stayed at many places so far during our travels! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the property, the splendor of the surrounding area and the exceptionally warm and welcoming service. The peacefulness of the place, the serenity and calmness of the mountains nearby was simply perfect. Our room was on the ground floor, so directly touching the lovely infinity-like pool, so we felt like we were a part of the water. The rooms were beautiful - the TOILET is the best in China! Warm seat and bidets, yes please! And we pampered ourselves by having a long, luxurious bath in the semi-outdoor bath one night too. It was my husband's 40th birthday on the second night we stayed there, and I had pre-organised a cake for him as a surprise. They went over and beyond what I was expecting, decorating the floor with fairy lights, playing Happy Birthday in the background, singing him a song, giving him a beautiful gift and a bouquet of flowers and especially making him a cake made out of fruit (because we are both vegan)! It was incredibly heartwarming and such an incredible gesture - we were both humbled and extremely grateful. Their restaurant up a little stone road (about a minute walk from the property) was just as beautiful as the hotel, and the food was delicious! Our favourite dish was the eggplant, so definitely get that if you're eating there. Also, the shuttle service is extremely helpful and useful, and we get a free one way shuttle to the railway station (an hour away), so that was a bonus! Any little thing we asked, they were happy to help and they were all so enthusiastic and friendly, we will miss staying there! We definitely will stay there again if we are ever in Zhangjiajie again. Not enough stars to give to this place! 5+++++ :) Also, there was a friendly, gorgeous golden retriever who quickly befriended us when we gave it some love.

Reviewed By emmanuellep198Vous serez impressionnés par cet hôtel charmant proche du Parc. Il est entouré de montagnes dans un endroit fermé où on peut se promener à pied. Les chambres sont grandes et propres. Les lits sont fermés mais nous avons bien dormis. Le personnel est vraiment très attentionné et fait le maximum pour répondre à vos attentes. Nous avons demandé ce que nous voulions pour le petit déjeuner et tout à été préparé spécialement pour nous dans la cuisine attenante aux chambres le lendemain matin.

Reviewed By jchenghk30bIt could be a reason to revisit張家界，this tidy cosy toasty BnB, provides only 7 rooms but 2 swimming pools and spacious dinner areas scattering all around its place, it's right underneath天門山, we were woken up by a cockerels instead of my phone alarm this morning. The owner is friendly enough to welcome us at her front door as late as 11 o'clock last night and sent us to the nearby airport as early as 6 o'clock this morning. What a shame that we only stayed here for one night. I probably need to plan a trip to come here again with my family soon. If I don't write it in Chinese I seems not able to publish. 房間乾淨，毛巾也是，空間很大，缺了一個衣櫃，但有一个大抽櫃，以木和水泥，石頭为主，休憩空間散落各處，高高低低的空間設計，把不太大的地方顯得有層次又立体，只可惜我只待了一個晚上！

Reviewed By Hugo7778The location is very secluded. About 1hr 30 mins from the airport and 40 mins from the scenic wulingyuan. You need to drive up a curvy mountain road and the property is accessible only by a half mile one-way side road. There are no parking. The property is ran by the owner with another male helper. Don't expect any 5 stars hotel service despite that price. It's more like a bed and breakfast consists of several cabins. One big problem here is no hot water. The hot water is serviced by a wood burning stove operated about 400 yards away. You need to inform the helper in advance to shower so that someone will be burning wood to heat up the water tank. The rest of the time will be cold water. It's extremely inconvenient. There are also no restaurant on site and they charge you 150 rmb per person to eat with them. Included breakfast consists of a fried egg and plain congee. The owner is always around and sometimes appeared overly imposing. Remember to bring drinking water as none is provided.

Nice and clean
Reviewed By bob19472016WE stayed at this hotel twice during our visit to this area. It was very clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and very helpful - although did not speak English. Very close to a nice park ( with 300 steps up if you need to practice for the 999 steps to the hole in the sky) and not to far from the River - lovely walkway beside the river.
