Just in front of Jeju Beach, the charming Tisland Resort features spacious air-conditioned rooms with a terrace and beautiful sea views. A 15-minute drive from Gogeunsan Mountain, the resort also provides an internet lounge, a children's playground and a billiards table. Amazing location!
Reviewed By Mark EBe aware that a lot of the reviews for this hotel are out of date. There are now at least six restaurants within close walking distance, including an amazing sushi place and pizza/pasta place. We didn’t have a car and it really wasn’t a problem; hotel staff called a taxi for us and one would arrive in minutes. Taxis here are much cheaper than the US, it cost about $4-5 to go to World Cup Stadium where you can connect to the airport bus or other lines. We stayed in room 304, which as a great view of the ocean on one side (although the view of Tiger Island is partially blocked by another hotel) and of Mt. Halla out the kitchen window. The village around the hotel is lively, as it’s a great place to walk/run and take in the waters (no beaches, although the hotel has a small pool). The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was quick to respond to any needs. Wonderful breakfast anchored by all you can eat eggs, which you can fry yourself, and sausage, although there is also cereals and other foods. If you are really looking to “get away” from the city and more tourist areas, this location and hotel are a perfect spot.

Management was very sweet and helpful (English was limited- but they understood enough to help accommodate our requests and communicate clearly), location was great. While the hotel is a little out of the city, for us everything was still walking distance. We were able to visit the waterfalls and walk down to the springs. The area is absolutely gorgeous. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Would recommend you get the bedroom with a sea view- the view from the balcony was breathtaking!

Wonderful escape with great views and terrific room

We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms - lots of space, kitchenette, spa tub, and great deck - everything with views out over the water. The owners were very pleasant and kind - and everything was nice and clean. We organized barbecues each night with them. They provided the hot coals and lots of sides and we just brought seafood and pork. There is a fresh seafood shop and a minimart in very close walking distance that had everything needed. Parking was easy. Close to all the things you would want to see. Highly recommend!

The Fabulous Mr & Mrs Park
Reviewed By E7174This neat little pension is made great by hosts Mr & Mrs Park. Their customer service, help and support is absolutely superb. They made sure we had the best of times whilst we were in Gyeongju. If you only like western style characterless hotels, this isn’t for you as it’s more like stopping in a family home but with your own private facilities. We found it a really relaxing place to be, a nice slower pace of life than the big city hotels. There’s a good choice of restaurants and a couple of convenience stores down the road near the bus top, which are about a 10/15 minute walk away. Although if you don’t fancy the walk, Mr & Mrs Park will drop you off or pick you up. They also have a cute little garden and a nice little pool. Bus 700, 10 & 11 drop you off at the bus stop by the restaurants. But Mrs Park will help you to understand all of that in readiness for your site seeing. All in all a lovely stay.

Jeju Island on the south end of town Daepyeong-ri town can see Mara-island, gapa-island, parksu-cliff, Gunsan, Halla-Mt encompass simultaneously cozy and quiet with views of the sea and is located a good energy flowing. Tired of city life here and fill the mind and body.
Peaceful, Quiet Resort
Reviewed By XinYangIt is located in a very quiet location. I think you will need a car to get to this place. My room has 2 floors that is connected by a very narrow stairs. On the first floor, there is a double bed and the kitchen appliances. On the 2nd floor, there is also a double bed. In all, 4 person can sleep comfortably in it. I felt the room was a little small when all 4 people are on the first floor. BBQ equipment are provided at an extra charge I believe. Room is clean.

Modern but modest resort
Reviewed By Panda055We stayed two nights during our cycle tour of Jeju island. Our room was quite modern in a Korean style with a small kitchenette aimed to suit Koreans with the rice cooker and utensils. There is a coffee shop attached to the resort where we had a very simple breakfast. It is also open for coffee and snacks during the day although when we stayed it was very quiet.

Reviewed By DapK1The place is beautiful, the view the room and facilities etc. Perfect weather in June, not too hot not too cold. The staff is very helpful. You can ask them for a private BBQ party at night, the staff will prepare the stove on your balcony!! The private Jacuzzi on the balcony is also another amazing things, a very good place to relax and enjoy the night view and chilly weather.

We stayed in this room by pure coincidence but we were so happy we did! The apartment is a great size with two bedrooms, perfect for a family. The apartment even comes with a sauna and hot tub on the balcony! The children particularly enjoyed the hot tub! The apartment is very well equipped and an enjoyable place to spend time with the family. Pension Basso is run by a truly lovely couple who could not be more helpful. Their English is good and they were wonderful and patient with our young children. A simple yet beautifully presented breakfast is prepared each morning in a lovely room complete with board games and an extensive collection of the latest and greatest DVD's. We haven't been particularly impressed with the quality of Bed and Breakfasts or Air B and B options in Korea, Pension Basso is a unique find, we would love to return. My only note is that the beds are Korean style firm, we were fine for two nights but I do like a softer bed! The other plus points are the fact you can watch the sunrise from the ocean in the distance from the top floor terrace. The Pension is within easy walking distance to the rocky beach and pleasant area to stroll along the seafront. We travelled to Seoraksan National Park and Pension Basso is about a 10 minute drive to the car park for the cable car. Emart is also only a 10-15 minute drive away. I highly recommend a weekend away at Pension Basso and Seoraksan!
