Honest Hotel Staff
Reviewed By jamaludin_maricanVery good experiences. Worth for money. Good choice to stay if you want to visit Kuala Terengganu city. Cleanliness was acceptable. Most important staff honesty, housekeeper found my airpod and return to hotel management although I’m also do not know that I left my airpod there. Really appreciate good gesture from the hotel staff.

Nice location, but...
Reviewed By 852mariuszbThere are no blankets/a sheet to cover yourself at night The window lets in barely any light No furniture aside from the bed Obviously no towels... I’d like to say the place is clean at least but it’s only surface level. The bathroom is mouldy, the doors are falling apart, the pillows are dirty (but the casings are fresh at least). This is a budget option so no wifi, aircon (there is a fan), electricity only from 7PM till 7am. The location is great, there is a nice common area with free hammocks. But at 120 per night (160 for seaview) at least give me a blanket, or warn in advance. The Perhentians are expensive in general but this is the worst standard on our trip so far and not the cheapest one at that...

TERRIBLE AND NOT RECOMMENDED

The resort is not transparent in informing potential guests of the frequent power and water supply cuts PRIOR to guests making reservation despite them having knowledge about it. The condition of my room located at the 2 storey building was bad. Basic is fine but badly maintained, horrible toilet (it was as if they had never washed it), no proper safety measures taken even during blackout incident at night. No issues with room being basic but do take care of maintenance, safety and especially cleanliness. I wouldn't recommend this place unless they have resolved their issues and rectified their current condition.

An okay place to stay overnight in Chukai, not much good cheap choices though
Reviewed By greatserpentPros:- -provided two bottles of water -bed was alright pretty comfortable, i think the pillow a little hard for my liking but not that bad -minifridge -tv -wifi was not bad -shower was alright, it had hot water and pressure was okay, there was also a shower gel dispenser Cons:- -room was a bit musty smelling when we first entered so i sprayed my dettol spray to sanitise the room -the aircon was a bit dusty -there was a lot of stains on the floor and the walls were a little like not maintained well and a few small hairs not cleaned up but it was ok for an overnight stay -no parking for hotel guests so you have to use a coupon -toilet and shower is not seperated -the corridors smelt like cigarettes sometimes but that's a lot of Malaysia hotels

Reviewed By KGB777This was my 2nd trip to Perhentians and the 2nd time I chose to stay at Bayu Dive Lodge. This was mainly because the location is quite peaceful and the prices are reasonable, and this outweighs the fairly basic nature of the facilities. During my stay there were issues with the generator, so aircon was only available for limited hours. This didn't really affect me though as I was out diving for most of the day. The dive outfit located at the lodge is excellent and that is another compelling reason to stay here. Wifi is really bad here so it's worth considering a strategy to deal with that. Breakfast is basic and restaurant food is average. Location is at the beach front.

Reviewed By Allis245It is a lovely place, the owners are really nice, and the guesthouse is big. Rooms have a/c, and if you happen to stay there, I would suggest you have dinner at the nearby "chef's" restaurant. The owners were so nice that they helped us the following day with our travel to the harbor!

Simple Lodging
Reviewed By SuhaimiKuantanI stayed here for two nights in quad room. If you dont mind simple amenities then this place is passable. The room is spacious but it does not offer free bottled drinking water even though it has electric kettle. The TV is without remote and you have to manually press the buttons. The bathroom is clean but my room water heater is not working. The positive sides about this place are the ample private parking, eateries are nearby and close to Batu Burok beach.
