A very nice place, almost isolate in the mountains at 1200 m altitude, away from the noise of "civilisation" but a little bit closer to God. For those that love the pure nature, the quietness and the fresh air of the mountains this is an ideal place. This place is not for picky townspeople. A new structure, very clean and hospitable, managed by a young couple ready to give their best to satisfy your requirements. We stayed here four beautiful nights in a very clean and warm room with a wonderful view to the little valley. A comfortable bed welcomed us in warm blankets making us a good sleep. A fairly spacious bath tastefully decorated, with shower cabin and hair drier. The water on taps is very fresh and potable because is coming directly from the heart of the mountains so it can be drank without fear. In some days is possible to take here a delicious and plenty dinner and lunch at a good price. Here is a little bar also where is served the breakfast in the front of a large window that delight your view with the magical landscape. Maybe they should improve a little bit the breakfast but this is not an impediment. Around of this property is possible to have a lot of activities like hiking, climbing, skiing or visit some old abandoned hamlets. This place is easy reachable... once arrived in San Damiano Macra is about 7 km in the mountains passable in a narrow asphalted street with easy serpentine but not difficult. Just stay a little bit careful and everything will go easy. I think any simple gps navigator can find this location without problem and a good driver with a good company can only enjoy this trip. Dear Melissa, greetings from Raphael e Anna!

The Chalet Monte Nebius provides with 12 rooms, bathrooms, tv, balcony, reading and relax zone, wi-fi area, motorcycles garage, breakfast at Caffè Simondi, bar of same property, 100 meters far from the chalet. Special deals for hotel guests in restaurant of the area.
Chalet Monte Nebius is centrally located in the small, picturesque town of Vinadio. We booked two rooms for one night. One room had a small balcony overlooking the town; the second had spectacular views of the mountains. The rooms were spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We had an excellent meal in a hotel nearby. Breakfast was available in a cafe across the road and it was ample and tasty. This is a hotel with lots of character in a truly beautiful location. Highly recommended.

La Via del Sale is located in Piedmont region, Po Valley exactly. Here the culture has characterized history, leaving indelible tracks. The Monviso mountain (3841 mt. on sea level, the highest of Piedmont), and the Po river (the longest of Italy) are symbols of the valley. In this atmosphere you can find a modern and essential structure perfectly adapted to the alpine landscape with 9 rooms with private bathrooms, garden and private parking.

Agriturismo Cascina Bellonuovo welcomes you, surrounded by Langhe hills, in a landscape wrapped by Barbaresco vineyards and hazelnut trees, resources that make this place unique in the world, UNESCO heritage. L’agriturismo, just 3,5 kilometers far from the city center of Alba (located on the road leading to Barbaresco, Neive and Treiso), it is part of an old ‘800 farmhouse. In 2016 was restructured, keeping inctact its original historical features. Just a few steps away from the Agriturismo you can get in touch with nature walking among vineyards and hazelnut trees that surround the property and taking footpaths which lead you to Alba or Barbaresco.
Emanuele is a very friendly and helpful host. The breakfast is of great variety and the appartment was much bigger and more beautiful than we imagined. We can fully recommend this neat and well located place near the city of Alba. We‘ll come back ?

Sant'Anna is a cute little village in the middle of the beautiful Italian mountains. If you are looking for piece and nature here is where you should be. My grandpa built our vacation house here with my father s help many years ago. Casaregina is the cherry on top of the cake, really the ultimate touch to Sant'Anna. Both palate and eyes enjoy being here! Food is outstanding even for an Italian (as I am!). Definitely great prices. I recommend it without hesitation, thanks Michela, awesome chef and all the rest of the team to make this experience unique each time.

he Hotel-Restaurant Palazzo di Mezzo, a fascinating historical house of the eighteenth century, is based in Carrù, the country dubbed "Door of Langa" and known for the National Fair of the Fat Ox. Site in the town center, the hotel offers the pleasure of staying in the late eighteenth century, including authentic period furniture, coffered ceilings and vaulted staircases, imposing walls and niches. Wherever the clay of brick tells centuries of history. The restaurant offers a cuisine that follows the oldest Piedmontese tradition, with typical dishes prepared in the presentation to taste them at their best. The quality of the structure and the favorable position in the low Cuneo, mean that lends itself as an optimal base for leisure or business trips. The family also favors an attentive and discrete service.
This is a hidden gem. A small place with only 8 tables or so, in two separate rooms, it offers a sense of intimacy while serving some of the best food in the Piemonte. All the pastas are prepared by hand on the property and served with delicae sauces or the best white truffle in season. The Vitello Tonnato is excellent, the breast of fassone is superb, but the most famous dish at this place is "Il Bollito misto a sette tagli", or seven cuts of boiled meat, served with seven special sauces. It is a Piamontese specialty.

Comfortable, well air-conditioned rooms with views of the rolling hills of Barbaresco in this friendly hotel. Excellent restaurant on site also serves memorable dinners (five days a week; see separate reviews) and breakfast are excellent. Wifi is good most of the time but not always. Barbaresco is within an easy walk.

This is a small hotel establishment with a restaurant. We only used the restaurant facilities. There was an unpromising entrance, through what seemed to be the family dining area with a TV and a little bar [and a pile of dirty plates on the table!], down a dimly-lit corridor, and then into an open-air courtyard, where the restaurant tables are located. We chose 'mixed cold garden vegetables' as antipasto; this was a complete disappoinment, as the vegetables consisted of no more than a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes, onions and (maybe) carrots, but then topped with a quartered bolied egg and a spoonful of tinned tuna. So, straight away we found the menu was misleading and that tinned produce formed part of the kitchen's inventory. A tagliatelle with veal ragu was tasty, a local grey rabbit was well cooked and full of flavour. The desserts were good and nicely presented. There is a comprehensive wine list with a lot of top end choices - too top heavy for a basic restaurant like this one, in my view. On asking for the bill we were directed back out to the family room and bar, where Madame kindly offered us a digestivo while the bill was prepared. I am sorry to say that the 'bill' was simply worked out on a calculator, and we were just presented with a total. [82 Euros for 2]. Personally, and I think this applies to most diners, I like to see an itemised bill. I have been to places before, where you are 'charmed' upon leaving with a little drink, and then just quoted a 'total price'. In my view this is not good restaurant practice. Overall, the food and service was acceptable and pleasant, but no more than standard for a town of Alba's size and gourmet reputation.
