Incredible Food and Interior
Reviewed By annamU4275IKWe have been overloading for over 2500km across Namibia and have stayed at many campsites and lodges. We were overwhelmed at how reasonable the camping was and how nicely shaded our spot was with a sink and everything which has been quite uncommon to have at your campsite. The food was incredible and well priced. It was hands down the best we had at any other lodge we had been to. Our waiters were kind and attentive and we truly felt welcome. Keep up the incredible work. This place is a true gem.

The buildings of Waterberg Wilderness Lodge shelter in a long valley in the midst of the Waterberg mountain range. Built from red Waterberg sandstone they nestle under enormous old trees. The atmosphere in the mature, well-kept garden with its two pavilions, many cool and shady places and an immured spring water basin lined by giant bamboo is idyllic.

Reviewed By svitloshoduLoved the location! Right in the middle of Waterberg bush. The whole place is designed to deliver that feeling of being closely connected to nature. Beware that the rooms are actually bungalows with walls made of cloth. So you literally hear everything that happens outside and you cannot block the room from insects. So I recommend to take a repellent with you, and check the bags before handing them and clothes before wearing. We also absolutely loved the plateau hiking experience with the local guide! He showed us the best viewpoints and shared lots of lifehacks, rhino tracks etc. Warthogs and baboons were cute on the way. Dinner is also great and full of local specialties. Booking with the dinner is strongly recommended because the place is very remote and you wouldn’t find any restaurants around. And yes, be ready to disconnect during your stay: there is barely any mobile connection here and wifi did not work during all our stay :)

Cheetahs everywhere
Reviewed By 01649409We stayed here for one night and had the chance to learn a lot about cheetahs and their world. The staff was very friendly and made everything to make us feel welcome. The room was very spacious with a nice view and we had a wonderful dinner (with some locally produced cheese) under a l sky full of stars. In addition it is worth stopping here so to give a small contribution to the cheetah conservation foundation that is doing an amazing job for those wonderful animals.

Casa Forno Country Hotel is the traveller's home away from home and the doorstep to Namibia's North. It was converted from three residential houses into a restaurant, hotel accommodation and conference centre. Decor is modern, but elegantly influenced by the old Cape Dutch style. Being one of the newest accommodation establishments in Namibia, it caters for the holiday maker, family, businessman and conference delegate alike. It is located only 5 minutes walk from the CBD.

Reviewed By Curiosity64669632765Really nice room, excellent restaurant and bar with great food and a nice atmosphere. The staff were really friendly as well. Had a look around the town and Casa Forno was definitely the nicest place in the town.

Reviewed By WouldLikeaBeerWe stayed here the night before our departure and after two weeks of safari. It was just what we needed. As soon as you arrive there is a sense of serenity. The rooms are beautiful and peaceful. The viewing deck is magnificent with a floodlit waterhole to spend the evening watching the great variety of antelope. The restaurant is worth 5* in itself, we had one of the best meals we had experienced on our trip. All of the staff were kind and helpful. We slept like a couple of logs and woke up wishing we could stay for longer. We enjoyed a walk of the grounds and came face to face with some zebra before heading back for a wonderful breakfast. There was a mix up with our bill that was rectified without us even noticing. Not only that but they offered a very kind gesture to apologise for the mix up. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone.

We trotted next to Zebras it was the best experience I ever had! The whole premises is just wonderful. There are so many things to discover! We also enjoyed the best Service in Namibia! The whole Team is absolutely friendly and makes your stay even more perfect! Thanks again for this nice time we will definitely visit Kambaku Lodge again!

Unvergessliche Zeit
Reviewed By peterangelikabWir waren drei Nächte im Ouhave Country Home. Es war für uns ein Zuhause. Nach Monaten alleine zu Hause war diese Unterkunft Balsam für unsere Seele. Wir würden in der Familie herzlich aufgenommen. Hans hat uns unheimlich viel über die Natur in der westlichen Kalahari erklärt und wir haben sehr viel gelernt. Das Braai hat uns viel Spaß gemacht und das leckere Essen war unvergesslich. Wir danken Bianca und Hans sehr herzlich für die wunderbare Zeit. Wir kommen bald wieder!

Der Garten ist von der Gastgeberin liebevoll und detailreich gestaltet, man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen schmeckt sehr gut. Von Maritz erhält man sehr viele Tipps und Informationen. Die kunstvoll geschweißten und gestalteten "Metallbilder" von Maritz Sohn sind das perfekte Souvenir. Als Tagestour bietet sich das Cheetach Conservation Center an, welches nur ca. 50 km entfernt ist.

Reviewed By umbertotorino1La guest house è molto carina, le stanze, i letti e i bagno sono pulitissimi e la famiglia che la gestisce è molto simpatica e tutti sono disponibilissimi. Si trova in una zona tranquillissima abbastanza vicina al centro della città. Se non siete alla ricerca di tanti fronzoli è consigliatissima.
