Reviewed By Feng GActually, the position of the Guest House hotel is not very good, a little far from the lake shore, but the boss (Ms Victoria) is a kindy lady. And the city is not so big, just walking is OK. If I have time, I shall be there In autumn, because Kizhi island is so beautifully.

Reviewed By Vicecolonel66For a long time we had wanted to visit Karelia with my friend. And then I’ve got the coupon (groupon dot ru) - "Three days in the cottage for four people for 7K roubles!" (But for simple hard workers cannot buy without a coupon - very expensive!). Prospected before by phone, we packed up and went by a car (because it was by a way to friends relatives in Podporozhye). And it has paid off! Before a stop in the village we walked by Petrozavodsk and visited few museums. And after living in Alexandrovka village we visited Petrozavodsk one more time and walked by the embankment of Onega Lake. Then we drove about 50 km on a beautiful forest road between two lakes. We arrived and the administrator has given us the keys to our house and told that included to the coupon: it is bicycle rentals, billiards, sauna, horse riding, and gatherings in the tent with Karelian tales and tasting Karelian tinctures and in general a lot of things! But in the evening, walking along the lake shore we talked with a local electrician, said him that we would definitely want to go to the waterfall Kivach. And he recommended us to visit also Girvas. So, all the range of pleasures we have not tried out - were in the Natural Park Kivach, then the volcano Girvas(and saw the waterfall bigger and powerfully than Kivach). But for a quiet accommodation with free porridge for breakfast, and free parking under the window did not find a better place! As, according to vacation plan we had a budget - as unfortunately, we have not tried the restaurant delights, but breakfast and pancakes issued by the tinctures were great! Special thanks must be said to restaurant manager Natalia - all listened to us and organized get-togethers cool tasting infusions in our cottage. More respect to horse breeders! He cares of horses with his soul (I'm a grandson of the grandfather-horse breeder and see this good). Should be noted very nice sauna (here special thanks to stoker too!). The steam was boiled well and brought cold juice (but only after complaining that the teapot is here but the water is absent), and even extended by half an hour for free! In the cottage has everything you need - two bedrooms with kingsize beds, lounge with sofa, TV and refrigerator, separate bathroom - hot water in the sink of the toilet and in the shower. And, of course, the fairly fast Internet (two laptops and two smartphone had no problems). In general, I recommend this place for most tourists and travelers (moreover, the coupons periodically appear at Groupon site!). We shall go again probably next year, only this time for a whole week!

Отличная беседка, можно посидеть вечером. Двух этажный коттедж, очень комфортный. Чистые удобные 2-3-4 местные номера. Санузел на каждом этаже, холодильник. Есть отличная кухня, где можно приготовить покушать. Из посуды есть всё необходимое.В минутной доступности Пятёрочка.Приветливая и очень приятная в общении администратор. Очень понравилось, рекомендуем всем кто любит спокойный комфортный отдых.

Reviewed By Petra PWe wanted to explore the area of Kizhi (Кижи) more deeply than usual and for that we wanted to stay overnight. We spent two nights in the Kizhi Grace Guest House or Blagodatj (Благодать) - and this was a great experience. We felt welcome, we enjoyed the local food (fish from the Onega Lake, cheese products - in particular the serniki (сырники) for breakfast - and fresh eggs). We strolled around the two villages around the Grace Guest House and met locals. We went for a boat trip with the father of the hotel owner and discovered six more wooden churches around Kizhi. And we waited for GOOD weather to walk around Kizhi island with the museum of wooden churches and wooden houses. At 2 a.m. we got up to take photos - it was not dark then. We fully enjoyed Kizhi and around. We will have to return to Kizhi to see all 22 domes of the Transfiguration Church (Церковь Преображения) - and then, we will again stay in stay in the Grace Guest House - for sure! How to get there: From Saint Petersburg: Train to Petrozavodsk (Петрозаводск, from Ladoga Station - when buying the ticket here, take your passport with you). We took the train on a Friday at ten in the morning to Petrozavodsk (seven hours, ca 500km) and on Sunday we returned with the express train at 6 pm (5 hours). In Petrozavodsk: One night in the Hotel Karelia (near the peer where the hydrofoil boats leave for Kizhi). Taxi from the train station to the hotel (or to the peer) is not more than 100 Rubels. Hydrofoil boats to Kizhi: Tourholding (Турхолдинг) runs boats daily in summer, to Kizhi in the morning (starting at 9:30) and back in the afternoon (starting at 3pm; for all "usual" day tourists). Call Tourholding to book your seats. You can then buy the reserved ticket at the peer (причаль). From Kizhi island to the Kizhi Grace Guest House: Five minutes' boat trip (call the guest house). One boat trip going there and back is free. For additional boat trips you have to pay (such as the round trip). In the hotel we met guests from Moscow that had taken the night train to catch the first hydrofoil boat in the morning - and back to Moscow they took the night train again after having reached Petrozavodsk in the afternoon. There are also night trains between Saint Petersburg and Petrozavodsk. Some more hints: Be aware that the gorgeous 22 dome church is being renovated and you can only see 5 domes. But there is much more to see and it is great that they look after their churches. On Kizhi island you also find "normal" villages. You can rent bicycles at the peer to ride around the island. Ask the hotel, if you want to do additional excursions or activities. The area around the Grace is swampy and wild and we found just one path to the next village, about one to two kilometres away. Mosquitoes all over. We are in Karelia. Take insect repellent with you.

Когда подъехали по указанному адресу к отдельно стоящему в промзоне среди развалин зданию (где продолжались работы по облицовке плиткой), сначала возникло острое желание развернуться и уехать оттуда. Но вняв приглашению приветливой сотрудницы все оценить самим, посмотрели на номера и решили остаться. В номерах все новое. Чисто, уютно, есть все необходимое. Включая общую кухню, где можно спокойно позавтракать или поужинать. Есть парковка, проблем с автомашиной не было, обстановка в районе спокойная. Хорошее сочетание цены и качества.

Reviewed By Алексадр ГОтличный гостевой дом, были проездом с товарищем, удобное расположение, комнаты небольшие но уютные, есть 2, 3 и 4 местные комнаты, на первом этаже 2 больших комнаты для всех, удобно что есть кухня на которой можно приготовить что угодно, плюсом чай, кофе и печеньки входят в стоимость.
