Penzión ALTMAYER je jedinečným a osobitným poľovníckym zariadením s bohatou zbierkou trofejí voľne žijúcej poľovnej zveri. Je ideálnym miestom na organizovanie slávnostných podujatí nielen pre poľovníkov, ale aj pre priateľov poľovníctva, prírody a krajiny. Penzión svojím zameraním propaguje poľovníctvo ako súčasť plnohodnotnej voľnočasovej aktivity a spoločenského života. Nachádza sa v malebnom prostredí Štiavnických vrchov, na severovýchodnom okraji Obce Štiavnické Bane, v časti Horná Roveň. Túto lokalitu na úpätí vrchu Tanád (906 m n. m.) vlastnili a využívali majitelia baní a ťažobných spoločností už v 16. a 17. storočí. Pôvodní majitelia boli nemeckej národnosti, žijúci v tom čase v kráľovskom meste Banská Štiavnica a toto miesto využívali ako pasienky pre domáce hospodárske zvieratá. Odtiaľ je odvodený názov penziónu „Altmayer – Starý Majer“.
excellent food and nice staff
Reviewed By NataliaSilkywe visited the restaurant by chance. It was very pleasant. Place has two terraces, great views. The place is very much oriented on game. And the dishes from game are gorgeous. We had main course, but luckily we asked the main course to be split on two plates. It was great food but simply too much ? We could enter the terrace with a small dog, so that was great too. Thank you!

Reviewed By alex3173To our surprise they do gluten free food. Couldn't believe our luck& the chef even had special noodles for the soup as well! The food in general is very good & it's great for the kids as they can play next to the terrace! Good value for money&I can only recommend this place!

Reviewed By FS CRoom was good except for lack of blind/curtain on back window. Staff were pleasant enough. Breakfast buffet was average but sufficient. Evening meal was very poor quality and small portions. Wellness is very small with limited hours but o.k.

Reviewed By branok513Zastavili sme sa na obed a po ústretovom počine zamestnancov reštaurácie sme ho aj absolvovali pri narýchlo pripravenom stole. V zariadení sú uprednostnení v čase výdaja stravy ubytovaní hostia. Denné menu divinové ragú a opekané zemiaky cez 8€... názor? Penzión nemá pre neznámych návštevníkov najšťastnejšiu polohu. Treba prejsť cez závoru a parkovisko susedného apartmánového domu, ale má vlastné parkovisko a je blízko pri lanovke na Novú Hoľu.

It is a great pension for relax in familiar atmosphere
Reviewed By Discover824565Our family spent 4 nights in Penzion Lucs this summer, with half-board. We have got three beautiful rooms, with great view to the mountains. The owner, Maria was very nice and friendly. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, the meal was excellent and plentiful. The breakfast was in buffet style with warm beverages and free coffee, the dinner contained warm soup and main course with a glass of soft drink. The garden is full with flowers, and there is a little lake with water lily. It was our best choice for a short vacation, if we return to Slovakia we will definitely choose this pension again.

Beautiful clean at an excellent location

We chose Penzion V Strani since we did not want to stay in the touristic area of Liptovsky Mikulash or around the High Tetras which most travelers choose to stay at when travelling to Slovakia. Also, we planned a star trip and we prefer not to change our base. We chose Penzion V Strani, located at Myto pod Dumbierom, right at the center of Slovakia. The place is magnificent! Located at a beautiful little village, with 7 type of rooms to choose from, very clean and comfortable. There is a trampoline for the kids and a hammock to relax on, facing picturesque view. The manager Matej, is a friendly charming guy, who handled any request we had immediately and efficiently with a genuine kind smile. The included breakfast was sufficient and delicious, with small surprises Matej provides every day. We highly recommend the place.

Reviewed By Val WI booked into this hotel for 5 nights in July 2017 as I was attending a wedding nearby. I opted to pay a little extra to have breakfast included. My room was located on the 3rd floor. It was a single room, with a bed, desk, chair, tv, wardrobe, and en suite bathroom with shower. All the furniture was wooden, and it fit in really well with the overall look of the property. Breakfast was served from 07:30 - 10:00, in a room above the restaurant. There was a fireplace that started on the ground floor that reached into the second floor, and serves as a focal point. The breakfast consisted of some breads, cold meats, cheeses, some cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit, tea, coffee and fruit juices. There is also a restaurant downstairs that I ate in 2 nights of my stay. The food here was very good, well presented, really good value for money and very generous portion sizes. Staff here spoke a little English, but not all of them, and definitely not fluently. But they are very helpful and do try. The room wasn't cleaned out during my stay, and I had to ask for additional supplies, which wasn't a problem. The reception is not manned 24 hours a day, so be sure you understand how to get back into the hotel after hours! The room I stayed in had a triangular shaped window, but not much of a view (an no curtain, but it wasn't really an issue apart from the light getting in early). I suspect it was one of the smaller rooms in the property and you could probably get one with a better view. There are also chalets that the property rent out as full houses. There is a river running at the back of the property, which you can hear from the rooms. There's no vending machine available, so stock up in advance, there aren't any shops nearby! All in all, a very pleasant stay and for an exceptionally reasonable price. I would highly recommend this property, for both food and accommodation.

Reviewed By Rudo PNa služobke som natrafil na penziónik s veselým majiteľom a peknou reštikou, raňajky v cene, výborne varí. Hlavne jedlá z grilu mi učarovali. Izba čistá, pekná kúpelňa. 10 min do centra Banskej B. Určite prídem na výlet aj s rodinou. Atmosféra malého miesta v údolí, všade naokolo príroda, pohodlné parkovisko a rýchla wifi. Cenovo dobré, so službami som bol spokojný.

Reviewed By NikolaA99Volba na Flippera padla skor z nutnosti kvoli nedostatku ubytovacich moznosti v okoli a skutocne som bola velmi prijemne prekvapena. Penzion je ciastocne zmodernizovany (vyzera OVELA lepsie nez na fotkach) cistunky, jedlo chutne, vsetko extremne lacne a velmi by som chcela vyzdvihnut najma obsluhu - vsetci boli usmievavi, prijemni, ochotni, vsimavi, naozaj skvela praca. No a pivko vecer pri zapade slnka nad vodou bolo fakt 10/10 !
