Here you can enjoy your holiday with your family, dog, friends or a good book. This Swedish haven invites to relaxation and fun and play and hopefully you leave with newfound acquaintances.
Beautiful Rural Hideaway
Reviewed By R4chyrooMy husband and I stayed with our 4 year old daughter for 2 nights. It was idyllic. I had read in the guide book of a beautiful beach at a nature reserve called Sandhammeran and so wanted to find somewhere to stay close by. It took a bit of finding as August seems to be a busy month for visitors to southern Sweden but I found Onkel Enkel's Pensionat. Run by Caroline and her family, we were made to feel very welcome. The main house has 4 rooms upstairs, 2 double and 2 family. We stayed in the family room with the bunk beds as our daughter is mad about them. Each room is tastfully decorated and lots of thought has been put in. Curtains on the kids beds and blackout blinds make for a great sleep for children and adults alike. There were two decent sized shared bathrooms but we were the only guests in the main house for our stay and so didnt actually have to share. Caroiline made us feel like it was our home and so our daughter had lots more freedom that she would at a hotel. It felt safe and secure and so she could roam inside or out without us having to constanty watch her. Downstairs there is a dining room with lots of chilkdren's toys, as Caroline has a 5 year old daughter, There is also an outside terrace and large garden. The garden had a chair swing and huge sand pit. It was full of wild flowers and birds. The area was very quiet with little road noise but you are in a farming community so expect some interesting smells! Caroline also offers evening meals as an extra. On our second night more guests arrived to stay in the garden cottage and so Caroline did an evening meal. My husband is vegetarian and my daughter can be quite fussy and so she made us a superb dish with sundried tomtaoes, feta cheese and chicken/quorn, brown rice, garden salad and homemade bread. Dessert was ice cream with homemade fruit compote and granola. She did crudites for our daughter as a snack starter. The food was one our best on our trip. Breakfast was of a similar standard, homemade bran scones, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee - all was delicious. The closest town is Tomelilla which was a 10 min drive away. There was a Lidl and a ICA supermarket. Although familiar with the Lidl brand from the UK we preferred ICA as the choice was much more varied. We spent one of our days at Sandhammaren which is just stunning, The beach was almost empty, powdery white sand and blue sea. The sea was cold but we had wetsuits making it easier to handle. There was a small cafe there for drinks but we stocked up on picnic food at ICA before heading there which worked very well. You have to be careful of the strong currents in the sea here too. All in all I would recommend this guest house and would happily stay again.

Kuskahusen is located in the beautiful part of southern Sweden known as Osterlen. We are ideally placed in a tranquil position (our closest neighbour is 1 km away) surrounded by a lovely countryside and with the largest nature preserve in southern Sweden called, Verkeans naturreservat, as our closest neighbour. It is the perfect setting for a relaxing stay where guests can unwind in the peaceful, unspoiled environment. Kuskahusen is conveniently placed for fishing, horseback riding, golf, rambling - with designated walking trails to follow. There are lovely unspoiled sandy beaches only twenty minutes' away by car. Along the coast of Osterlen, from Brosarp in the north to Ystad in the south, you will find picturesque hamlets and old fishing villages. As a guest at Kuskahusen you'll get a good night's sleep in a quality bed. We have eight double rooms and a cottage with several beds. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin. All our rooms are non-smoking. Pets can stay in the Cottage. The entire hotel meets the latest fire-safety requirements. There is a large outdoor area with cosy, private corners and barbecue areas for larger groups.
Beautiful place
Reviewed By Sandra RWe stayed for 5 nights in the cottage. The cottage was perfect. Good equiped and clean. The garden and view are beautiful. There is a tower to spot animals where we saw deer every evening. For the kids there is a playground and there is a Great grill area. The cottage was quit expensive with 5 people but it was worth it. The people who are running This hostel are very friendly and helpful.

A true pearl of a retreat ans SPA
Reviewed By hans aA truly lovely little retreat with a nice spa, great food and superb service. As a major bonus, dog friendly and your dog is welcome at breakfast, lunch and dinner. At dinner your dog will get a neat treat. The environment is also dog friendly with a lot of space to work and play. The staff is so forthcoming and nice ? The SPA area is truly nice with indoor and outdoor pools.

Tryde 1303 is a cosy b&b. We have double rooms, triple rooms and family rooms. Shower and toilets are close in the hall outside the room. Here is a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with tv. The café/bistro is open during summer and some weekends in the rest of the year. Breakfast is included and contains homemade bread and local products. In the farm you find dogs, cats and hens. In the garden you can play boule or just enjoy in the hammock. The children have a a playground. In this part of Sweden you find very beautiful natur, interesting culture and exciting history. We enjoy to give you tips what to see when you are here!

Reviewed By beatricew826Auf unser Road-trip durch Schweden haben wir hier für ein paar Tage halt gemacht. Sehr harmonisch eingerichtete Zimmer und sehr ruhig gelegen. Ein leckeres Frühstück in einem großen Korb ins Zimmer gebracht mit selbst gebackenen Brötchen und sogar für Veganer geeignet - mega. Frühstück kann auf der Terrasse genossen werden oder bei schlechtem Wetter in der rustikalen aber sehr komfortablen Scheune. Abends dann ein Sekt in Whirlpool rundet den Tag perfekt ab. Die Gastgeberin, Carina, hat und tolle Tipps gegeben von Wanderungen im Nationalpark, Spaziergang an der Küste bis zur Museumsbesuch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen lieben Dank, Axel und Beatrice.

Perfect B&B
Reviewed By HKTHelsinkiYou should not be disappointed in this B&B as long as you remember that it is a B&B and not a hotel. The owner is extremly helpful and service-minded. Everything is clean (including the shared bathrooms) and there is a nice garden surrounding the house. The place is located next to a main road, but the traffic noise was not disturbing. The owner can serve you food, drinks and some necessities which is good as there is not any other service close nearby.

Reviewed By FiivaMycket trevligt bemötande, vi kände oss mycket välkomna. Tog ett glas vin och såg solen gå ner över fälten. Vi fick rummet i källaren där det var svalt och skönt och vi sov väldigt gott där. Frukosten var väldigt god och brödet kom från närliggande bagerier. När vi åkte därifrån kändes det som att vi vinkade hejdå till gamla vänner.

Underbar vistelse
Reviewed By 463alexandrHyrde orangeriet för stor middag med vänner, tillagad av värdparet. Väldigt god mat, väldigt fin service och underbara rum med sköna sängar. Vi hyrde även jazzucin, möjlighet fanns till yoga med Gittes fantastiska mamma. Det var lätt att känna sig väldigt hemma och avslappnad. Alla i sällskapet var väldigt nöjda, rekommenderas varmt!
