Reviewed By fjg22cambridgeParticularly fantastic schnitzel, delightful and helpful service. They have an English menu. I had the special of the day which was a delicious local mushroom dish - also recommend their Liver dumplings soup! We visited twice during our stay. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, beautiful place with lake access
Reviewed By MarkusW171Brandauer's Villen is a boutique hotel located directly at the shore of lake Wolfgang (Wolfgangsee), with direct access to the lake (if the water is warm enough for swimming...). The hotel is split into the original building (with cafe, breakfast room, restaurant) and a newer building (where the reception and meeting rooms are housed). Guest rooms are in both buildings. They cater to leisure and business travelers with excellent amenities (professional meeting rooms with good equipment for business meetings). The rooms are spacious, up-to-date, clean, and many of them with a view of the lake. The most amazing room is the top-floor suite in the new building, featuring amazing views of lake and mountains along with a patio. Internet is fast and easy to access; breakfast decent with a good selection; staff friendly and accommodating; free yet somewhat limited parking on site and in the street. Overall, very quiet and peaceful, although it might take some time to get used to the nearby church with its bells ringing a 6 in the morning. Also: the reception closes before 8 PM, so make sure to arrange accordingly if you need any help later in the evening or plan to arrive late.

This 3-star guesthouse offers charming rustically-furnished rooms with shower/bath WC, balcony, telephone, broadband connection and cable TV with 30 channels; in-house "Wellness area" with sauna, solarium, infra-red cabin, steam-room, fresh water jacuzzi, warming rest beds and a relaxation room; a rustic dining room seating 50 and the NEW dining experience "Kleefeldstadl" - a beautifully furnished rustic restaurant with seating for up to 130; and a fully equipped seminar room for 8-20 people. For children, there are play areas both inside the restaurant and outside. There is a wild-life park with approximately 250 animals on the Kleefeld estate and many walking trails meander around the grounds. Fishponds with trout, salmon-trout, char and sturgeon supply our restaurant requirements and, to complete the offer, not only do we have fish and venison from the kitchen, but the wine and schnapps from our cellar will delight you time and again. Ideal for 3 generations

Something for everyone.....plenty of space for children to play, with swings & a 3D spiders web for the climbing frame, plus all the animals, walks of various lengths & challenges & all terrain biking. Five minutes drive away is Strobl for bike hire, water sports & two spacious lake freibads for swimming - very popular, and all the amenities of Wolfgangsee. Day trips to Salzburg & Hallstadt with it's salt mine, were great hits too. Kleefeld is traditional Austria and has the most amazing views whichever room you have...up the mountain valley with its peaks, countryside views towards Strobl, views over the large deer paddock & other enclosures. Our room was spotless and comfortable in the original part of the Gasthof, however the bathroom was a bit tired & could do with updating. That said, we had the most spectacular views. The food is fresh, varied & excellent, pleasing the children as well, especially the copious breakfast buffet. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. Thank you all at Kleefeld for a great holiday.

Reviewed By luisa1958The location is perfect up on a hill, so you can avoid the hustle and busle of the city centre. The apartments are large and very well furnitured, ideal for a family with children and the double rooms are new and well furnitured as well, all with balcony and a splendid view on the mountains, There is a kitchen for the rooms to be shared with the other guests of the house and for this it all depends on the politeness, cleanness, respect and so on of the people you share the space with. It's well organized with lots of amenities for children. The house owners are very friendly and helpful

Nicely situated hotel on lake Wolfgang
Reviewed By honorbakThis hotel is well maintained and rooms were recently renovated. Everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms at the front are quite noisy as there is a bar in front of the hotel so you can people talking till late night. The bathroom door was half transparent so there is no privacy in the toilets. We visited during warm days in August and the room was boiling hot as there is no AC or fan and there is no airflow through the room. The hotel has a nice pool and a large back yard which is good for children. Breakfast is very good and service is excellent. The Tex-Mex restaurant is quite meh.

Reviewed By KarelN30Perfect location with a view on the lake, nice room, good breakfast, very nice restaurant with very good food and great service, I have really enjoyed restaurant in the front side of the hotel where you can also find a nice bar. Most of the time there was no one at the reception, usually we had to wait for someone over ten minutes. When I had a problem to enter the sauna I waited over 30 minutes and nobody was able to help, so I just gave up...parking is approximately 200 meters from the hotel and sauna is 250 meters far from the hotel in separate hotel or apartment

They just want your money
Reviewed By jordij2016The place is clean, room was comfortable but expect no service whatsoever if that means extra work for them or not being able to charge what you originally should have payed. Breakfast was slim, if you arrive late there won’t be any choice of bread. The smell of the kitchen climbs all the way up the stairs. Once and never again.
