Charming family-run hotel in the fantastic country-side place
Reviewed By Tomas_K77No doubt, this is the top-notch place in Austria for those who is looking for get-away place in the most beautiful countryside with the postcard view from your room's window. Surrounded by beautiful alps, meadows and forest this family-run hotel is perfect place for stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The local meal in the restaurant is delicious mostly made from their own farm products so you can feel the taste! The room was just renovated so it was completely fresh and clean. There is a nice SPA area with 2 saunas and Jacuzzi. The hiking is probably the most interesting activity in summer time, there is plenty of walking trails and small restaurants on the hills. We were lucky to join the owners to deliver their cows to the upper hills, that was an incredible tour. The nature is breathtaking! We will definitely come back again! 10 points from 10!

A nice hotel the second time as well
Reviewed By Luv2Go2013We took a detour from our travels to visit this hotel for a second time, so obviously we like it a lot. The Martinerhof is family friendly, and many guests have children or come with extended family members or friends so there is always a lively atmosphere, though not excessively so. For children there are planned events such pony rides or playing Cowboys-and-Indians. For adults there are is an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna, plus some events such as dancing or singing. Many guests play cards after dinner, or simply relax on the lovely terrace with a drink. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We booked a room with a balcony and a view of the mountains across the valley. The mountains views are not as dramatic as some in Austria, but very nice nonetheless. We received a welcome drink on arrival which is a nice touch. Our room and bathroom were small, and the bathroom had old-fashioned fixtures. On the other hand the room and everything about the hotel are in good condition. The half-board dinners were very good, for example one night excellent grilled ribs and chicken. The hotel was very busy during our stay so the wait-staff was a little slow to respond to requests for drinks etc. The TV received many channels, the Wifi was free and reception excellent. There is nothing particularly historic to see in St Martin, but the small town is very neatly laid out with at least one of all the stores or shops that you may want. We find it a very pleasant and relaxing town to visit. There are plenty of hiking trails around the town, many of which are not too strenuous. For a snack away from the hotel try the K2 Café, which is a very interesting little restaurant.

Perfect hotel, perfect hosts
Reviewed By LahumanWe spent two nights at the Alpenhof in the newly renovated family room on the top floor. The location is perfect. Great views from the terrace with a beer in hand and a short walk into St Marten. The room was modern "Alpine chic" with high quality fittings in the bathroom. The hosts, Peter and Annemerieke, were super nice and made our stay perfect. Lovely breakfast. We will definitely visit again.

Luck has found its place here, so it's Glüxplatzl - in the middle of the Salzburger Land! 2 guided hikes in summer and 1 guided snowshoe hike in winter included. Family run! Petra Gappmaier is your contact person and your mountain hiking guide with a passion for nature and mountains The wellness area with Finnish sauna and infrared cabin invite you to relax in a healthy way. The 'room of unlimited possibilities' for playing, reading and chatting with other guests. In the garden with a view of the Tennengebirge you can relax, every apartment has a great view and the nearby forest ensures peace and quiet and the best air. Bread roll service is a matter of course, lovingly equipped kitchens in every apartment and on top of that there is the GLÜXGRIFF, a small self-service shop.

Cosy and clean pension with friendly owner
Reviewed By DenisaD139We were there for one night and it was perfect. Owner is very kind and friendly guy who helped us with our plans for next day. Pension is very cosy and nice. Our room was perfectly clean and cosy too. In the evening we had good beers and in the morning we had breakfast there - tasty and fresh. We totally recommend this place! :)

Vacation in the middle of St. Martin Apartments Wimmhof in St. Martin am Tennengebrige, Austria. The Wimmhof is located at 1000m above sea level and with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. In the middle of the beautiful town of St. Martin am Tennengebirge. On the "sun-side" our farm is only a few minutes' walk from the town center with its inns, cafe, grocery stores, doctor's surgery and the beautiful natural swimming lake. In our family-run house, five cozy, furnished apartments invite you to relax and unwind. Each of our holiday apartments is equipped with a kitchenette, a dining area, bathroom with shower and toilet, as well as a seating area with a couch or armchair and flat screen TV. A break at the Wimmhof can only be recommended at any time of the year. Regardless of whether you are looking for relaxation or prefer to spend your vacation actively, you will definitely find the right thing with us. For families, the Wimmhof is a particularly nice place for your vacation break. Our farm is centrally but quietly located on the outskirts of St.Martin. It is only a 10-minute walk to the village. The natural swimming lake with a fun water slide, children's playground and lake restaurant is a special highlight in summer. Adjacent to our field are a soccer field, tennis court and children's playground. While the children spend their time on the trampoline or with our animals on the farm, you can relax with a glass of wine on the balcony or in the garden and enjoy the tranquility of our place. Our farm cats "Millie & Garfield", as well as pony "Nessie" and Hannah`s rabbit breed are particularly popular.

Great, calm place that feels like home
Reviewed By Berta2702The rooms are clean, spacious, well equipped with kettle, coffee machine, cutlery, plates and glasses – everything you need for a pleasant stay. The hosts are naturally friendly and helpful. Only some details could be improved. One of them is a breakfast. Although there is a good variety of everything, the quantity of some products is not enough for all guests. There was just one small plate of cold cuts and cheese for 12 persons. Another thing is a lack of information about the place. We were not informed what time the breakfast is, what spots could be of our interest. Some short introduction is always welcome. And the last thing we were not comfortable about was that we could not dry the clothes after skiing since the radiators were almost cold. And although it was really warm in the room, some other solution should be provided. It is a really good accommodation and has a lot of potential to be perfect.

Reviewed By Emma FWe and our friends stayed here one night. We had trouble finding a place to stay at and saw that this had great rewiews. The hotel had cosy rooms with perfect fluffy pillows. Excellent food in the restaurant! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Sehr großes Familienzimmer mit sehr nettem Gastgeber

Die Unterkunft liegt recht zentral an der Hauptstraße (ohne Verkehrslärm) eines sehr schönen Urlaubsortes. Unser Familienzimmer war mit allem ausgestattet was man so braucht. Besonders ist dabei noch hervorzuheben dass das Zimmer sehr groß war (extra Schlafzimmer für bis zu drei Kinder). Das Frühstück war sehr reichlich und der Gastgeber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
