Reviewed By 433carinanThe room was clean and very cosy. They had a small porch where they served vine and beer. The staff was helpful and sweet - the owner even offered to carry our luggage to our room ? the breakfast was great ! Differently with a visit !

Comfort and a great view
Reviewed By Donald WOur spacious room had a wonderful view over the vineyard and the valley. We settled in comfortably and enjoyed a very nice breakfast and a walk around the grounds. The location is well removed from the sound of automobile traffic, quiet and secluded. The hostess was very nice and took wonderful care of us including calling a Dr. when I was feeling pain, I thank her immensely for that as the Dr. diagnosed my pain as a gall bladder problem. I thank both of them for their caring way. And yes, I would love to return, aside from my 'problem' it was a wonderful stay.

Center of town in this delightful little walled town.
Reviewed By john cNice older hotel at a reasonable price. Rooms are nice, although the double we had the first nice was small and was next to the entrance, The automatic door noise transmitted through the wall whenever some one went in or out. We requested a larger room and moved to the 2nd floor for a more satisfactory stay. Clean rooms with modern bath facilities. Breakfast was large with many selections. Great local breads, cheeses and meats. We would stay here again should we return to Sommerhausen. It was very busy as there was a celebration of the church over the weekend. Hotel has parking and this is very important as space is at a premium in this village. (This was October 2) parade with military uniforms (18th century is my guess), drums and band. After noon moved to the fest platz for wine and bratwurst. Wine serving was a newer wine in a .5 litre mug. This a very big wine growing region and the Schloss here is one of the larger winery's.

Reviewed By Izabella GBeautiful, clean hotel located 5km away from the A3 highway very close to Wurzburg just outside a charming small village on river Main at the bottom of wineyards. The owner very friendly,flexible and helpfulet. Rooms clean and comfortable. Really can only recommend both as holiday destination and as stopover.

Reviewed By Lisa JWe came to the hotel after the reception had closed and it was no problem at all, fantastic service! They recommended restaurants for the evening and when we asked about early check out it was no problem at all and they even fixed breakfast earlier for us! Recommend to stay in cozy Sommerhausen and at this hotel!

Reviewed By HansHbg_SverigeLocated in the middle of this little village. Building is old and pittoresque but rooms are new and renovated, clean and fresh. Free parking in the hotels courtyard. Breakfast is ok with the size of the hotel in mind. In the cellar you can serve your self with local drinks.
