Reviewed By Eddie POnce again, my travels took me to San Jeronimo and I stood at no other place than Hotel Quimbaya. The staff upon arrival were welcoming and friendly. Our room was ready upon arrival and I was given a tour of the property. The hotel has 4 adults pool and 1 children's pool. The staff is always ready and available to assist you in your needs. The food was delicious and they always had music playing out by the pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By birzbirzmThank you, i had a lovely time in the hostería. Right next to the river, the location is perfect. Hidden between the mountains in between an awesome nature. It s Perfect to chill, relax, drink a few beers right next to the pool or explore the nature and the cascades... The rooms are nice and tidy and the staff is really friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend to go there! Gracias, I ll come back soon :)

Looking for a good time out of the city
Reviewed By Francisco VIs a wonderful place to 45 minutes driving from Medellin, full of nature and all kind of birds. I hope to come soon again. On weekends you find alive music. But on week is the perfect place to relaxing. The price includes all meals. And 100% free oxygen of the forest.

Paradise in Colombia Countryside
Reviewed By caribseabreezeThis very spacious property was quite a surprise because of the extent of the property. It includes 3 pool areas, Spa with sauna and steam room, outdoor game pavilion, restaurant, a beautiful horse stable, and lush grounds with wildlife. Besides the beautiful horses in the spotless stable we saw, peacocks, ostrich, ducks, pigs, long horn cattle, and an iguana. The property is spotlessly clean with a friendly staff. Hamilton seems to be always available to make poolside pinecolads. And the stay included ‘half fare’ (3 meals without drinks). The meals were delicious, beautifully served, and filling. The rooms were air conditioned. The only con is that they do not have hot water, which is very common in Colombia. But the weather was so warm it wasn’t much of a problem. Although we were an adult group, the area is especially set up for families. All pools had wading areas and slides for small children. There was also a large playground. During out stay, Sunday to Tuesday, there was only one other room booked. We were told their busy time is Thursday through Sunday. The WiFi didn’t work in our room, I think because of the thick concrete walls, but it worked just fine sitting outside the room where chairs were available. It also wasn’t available at the pool area or restaurant.

Dado que iba a llegar por fuera de la hora del check in llamé a contar mi caso, me pidieron que pagara un monto para separar la habitación y eso hice, me confirmaron recibido y la habitación asegurada, y al momento de llegar me dijeron que no me habían separado la habitación sin dar explicación alguna.

Reviewed By Olivia KOooh. Such a pity. The outside space looks nice. Nice pool, nice rooms. But the children won't take a shower because the water is so cold in the rooms and we have to go to the lobby for Wi-Fi... That's just unacceptable for the price you pay here.

Have luxuries such as hot water in the showere and toilet seats (which are not in many of the local hotels). Beautiful area with lots to do. Makes a great weekend away from the city. Worth the drive

OK experience, but could be improved
Reviewed By Chimom420We were in Medellin during Christmas and decided to head to Lago Tours for a couple days in a large group. We definitely did not get a group discount even though we booked 6 rooms. It included the 3 meals and a supposed "free bar" from 4-8pm, but more about that later. The food included was just OK. It usually consisted of rice two meats, a fish, and salad, plantains. Breakfast was arepas with eggs or other and fruit. They don't really cater to kids as they never had cereal, milk or yogurts available, all things my kids typically eat for breakfast. I struggled with their service in the dining area. They would run out of plates or silverware constantly and never replenish until I asked them two or three times to follow up. They would also run out of "juice" they had at the buffet, which again they never replenished in a timely fashion. The bar service was mediocre. Bar tenders not very friendly. The included "happy hour" was basically aguardiente, rum or vodka. But the mixers they had available were pretty bad, so in essence we never drank from the included menu and ended up ordering cocktails and beer, which defeats the whole concept of all inclusive. How hard would it have been to include soda or OJ as a mixer?! The facilities themselves were nice. We enjoyed the pool, sauna and steam room and enjoyed the pool table/ping pong area in the evenings. My husband and kids also enjoyed the couple of water slides that they had. That made up for their lack of service and poor wifi in the lobby. We had a room with bunk beds and as a family with two kids it was just fine. It should be noted though that rooms had no hot water, which to me was odd given this is a hotel. We brought it up to the front desk and they responded they would bring some if we needed it, but we didn't bother. They did have AC in the rooms which was a huge plus, because it was extremely hot during our stay. Overall, it was a decent stay, but given all the many choices in the area, I might look elsewhere to get more value next time.
