Terrible hotel...
Reviewed By Alberto CThe hotel leave a lot to be desired. Uncomfortable and noisy (very noisy). Dated furniture, broken windows, broken/clogged bath shower, "smart tv" just to watch You Tube videos or Netflix (if you have your own account!). Restaurante just work for breakfast and lunch. No services after 3 pm. Look for other options if you want some elemental level of comfort and silence.

Reviewed By Fearless42128We Stayed in Mr Clean for 5nights . good location but the beds in the room are not up to par you can feel every spring in the bed. they say its a B&B but we were never given breakfast every morning we had to find somewhere to have breakfast. on our first day there we had to buy lime a way for the toilet bowl because it was terrible ,we literally had to ask for the room to be freshen up every day before we left and the kitchen that we were to share it was always dirty and we were not able to use it. The pictures on the web site are lying!!

At Home on the mountain looking to the sea
Reviewed By Peter PClyde was a kind and gracious host. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and at home. The entire property had a comfortable and lush feel. Diamond View Cottages has all that a traveler away from home could want. The apartment is spacious, bright and cheery. The place is well kept and extremely utilitarian (110v and 220v outlets throughout the rooms). The kitchen is quite functional and fully stocked with pots and pans for all your cooking needs. The bathroom is roomy and clean as is the rest of the unit. Clyde is a prideful man and that is reflected in how Diamond View Cottages are presented and maintained. Located at the higher elevation, there is a sense of serenity and calm as the birds cheerfully chirp in the morning, the setting sun glistens off the sea below and even when it rains, there are rainbows galore, and finally, not be be missed are the brilliant night skies dazzling with stars so close as if you could just reach out and touch them. Just knowing that Diamond View Cottages exists and offers such wonderful accommodations, we look forward to returning to Dominica not only to participate in many of the activities (scuba diving, hiking, etc) this magnificent island has to offer (3rd visit), but definitely plan to stay at Diamond View Cottages. This is the place for you if you like independence and comfort. And because Clyde makes himself available, it is easy to have questions answered or issues resolved. In addition to the wonderful view from the property, the property itself is inviting and by inviting, I refer to the lush and well kept flower and fruit trees growing in the surroundings and the special lighted nighttime ambiance. Fond memories of Diamond View Cottages will last a very long time.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT The owner of Narakiel's Inn, Lynne, wishes to inform guests that we are now under new local management. To me the comfort of our guests is paramount and so I was saddened to read the recent bad reviews listed here related to the level of service offered as my goal is to provide guests with the highest level of customer care. However, since I primarily run the Inn remotely, unfortunately I mostly cannot be there in person to do so. Therefore, I have parted ways with our former manager Richard and we now have a new Local Representative, who I believe is better aligned with providing the level of service that our guests deserve. Our new local representative is warm, professional and eager to offer guests the same level of customer care and service that I would provide if I was there in person. We greatly appreciate the thoughtful feedback provided here and we will continue to institute changes to ensure that they are all addressed.
Great location by the river and close to town for sights and travel options
Reviewed By CDNMarmaladeWe booked this online without any review information. It turned out to be a good option for us. Walking back to the hotel at night we got to know a few of the locals. Positives: room had almost everything we needed, including a cell phone! bed was large and comfortable, place was secure, A/C worked well, the bathroom worked well, the hotel also has a balcony with a view of the river and town centre; one look would tell whether a cruise ship was in town. Negatives: the room safe was broken; the hotel's credit card machine was broken so we had to get cash from the bank; the room was too small for 2 people.

Located in the lush tropical forest of Dominica, Natty Tropical Valley is a friendly place close to the hot sulphur springs of Wotton Waven and the beautiful Trafalgar Falls.We have 2 rustic cottages, built from local wood from the forest. One can fit a small family of 5 and the other, a couple.You can freshen up in the river close by or relax in the hot water pool.

For U.S. $65 per night we got a comfortable cabin right beside a river with swimming holes and a hot tub constantly fed with hot spring water just a short walk away. I loved jumping in the river first thing in the morning, then soaking in the hot tub. Admittedly, our first impression wasn't good. Natty wasn't there when we arrived since he runs this place all by himself and the cabin looked uninviting and primitive. Once we got inside we found out it actually has a comfortable bed, hot water, wifi, and power. It's made of chainsaw-cut boards and bamboo and I found it to be so interesting. For an extra fee Natty will prepare breakfast or dinner. I look forward to return someday when Natty finishes the huge river-fed pool he's working on.
