Reviewed By Misty YWow, is the first thing that comes to mind! We were greeted with a warm welcome from the owners and provided us with a ton a valuable information about the town. Then we went to our room which was a suite on the top floor! WOW, very spacious, wonderfully decorated with beautiful original beams running across the ceiling. The beds were very extremely comfortable, breakfast was amazing. It’s just truly a GEM. The only negative thing: Is we will have to leave.

Our room was on the 1st floor (2nd for those of us from the U.S.), quite roomy and tastefully decorated. The bathroom had the most beautiful tile work and the bedroom had plenty of lighting and lots of storage. Bedding was very plush and comfortable. Breakfast was great with plenty of options including eggs made to order and everyone that we came in contact with was so friendly and accommodating. We wish we had been able to stay for a third night, it was so good. Excellent all around!

We were able to see other rooms as we had friends with us and all were different and lovely. The hotel is small and in a great location. We had a car so the parking was helpful here. The breakfast room overlooking the gardens and countryside is beautiful!

Historic 4 star hotel from the 13th century. Our team welcomes you in our house with 11 rooms spread over 4 floors. An elevator takes you up to the third floor. Already kings and princes slept in this venerable house. All rooms feature antique marble bathrooms with corner bathtubs for 2 people. You can see all the rooms on the homepage.

Reviewed By Brad NThe Historik Hotel Gotiches was wonderful! This family owned and managed hotel was romantic, nostalgic, and attentive to each of our needs. We were fortunate to stay in room 31 which provided views of the village street, historic furnishings, and modern amenities. All of the facilities were clean and the staff took all necessary precautions during Covid. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. We were able to park our car for offloading our luggage and the owner directed us to nearby public parking. We’ll be staying here when we return to Rothenburg!

Ups Location You live where others endlessly take selfies (people will probably ask you to take pictures of them when you exit feom the hotel and be wary of excursions camping before the entrance. Everything is nearby. Friendly staff, ready to answer any questions and help Tasty breakfast buffet (we especially liked the selection of fresh fruit and coffee) exclusive view of the Tauber valley in the breakfast "blue" room. Game room with billiard, air hockey, and foosball. Dog- and child-friendly. Good value for money. comfortable parking next door (costs 8.5 eur per night but is worth the price). Downs WiFi rather flaky in the guest house. very old locks in the room doors, no safe: best don't put valuables in your room. Side-note: This is the oldest hotel in Rothenburg still in operation. It was founded 300 years ago. If history is your knack, this is the place to be.

Having stayed here for a week now, I can tell you that the best recommendation I could give is that I would definitely chose Villa Mittermeier again if I am ever back in Rothenburg ob Der Tauber! The room was spacious, quiet, exquisitely decorated, and outfitted with all the comforts. This is definitely not a cookie-cutter, bare-bones hotel room. The hotel has adequate parking and is a short walk to anything you might want to see or do in the city center. One of the first nights here it was wet and cold outside, so I decided to try the hotel restaurant. The maî·tre d'hotel explained that it was a fine dining restaurant with a 5 or 7 course wild game menu. That wasn't what I was looking for, but because it was cold and wet he offered to alter the menu to accommodate me. How many fine dining establishments do you know who would go to those lengths to accommodate their guests? I applaud them. If you are coming to Rothenburg ob Der Tauber for business or pleasure do not hesitate to stay at this charming hotel! Their breakfast is fantastic, their staff is warm and helpful, and their location is great. You won't be disappointed!

With a welcoming lobby, original staircase, & many antiques to admire, the hotel is a combination of 4 different buildings which creates a maze involving 2 different elevators to reach our room, part of the fun but difficult with international suitcases. Our 3rd Floor Suite was charmingly hand-painted, quite spacious, overlooking the Tauber Valley with windows that open, & a glorious spa bathroom. Nice Touch--a CD Player with CD to enjoy. Centrally located, and with great breakfast & helpful staff, we had a wonderful stay. In January 2020, not very crowded so very enjoyable.

It is not difficult to find a room for the nights in Rothenburg. One of the loveliest is to be found in the Herrngasse. It goes without saying that to live in a building from the Middle Ages has its attractions. Not luxurious, perhaps, but very comfortable, yet homely in the best sense. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, so that an enjoyable stay is assurd. One of the oldest nobleman`s house with individual and stylish interior.

The check in process was swift and efficient (unlike in Füssen the night before). Parking was available on site, and also just outside the hotel on a very quiet side road. Drinks were served outside in a very well maintained/ presented garden. The breakfast was a treat, with various dishes cooked to order such as lightly smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The room was very substantial, and benefited from a bright modern bathroom and great a/c. The hotel is well situated being an easy walk to many of the great sites within the city walls. Happy to recommend and would love to visit again.
