Nice stay, very kind staff
Reviewed By filippo31Villa Giulia is 10mins away from Porto Azzurro by car (if there's no traffic), and very easy to reach from basically anywhere on Isola d'Elba. Common areas are nice and well maintained. All personnel has been very kind throughout our whole stay (3 days, 2 nights) in August 2020. Breakfast was really good compared to other similar category hotels in Italy. The pool is amazing and I doubt many other hotels have a comparable one. Unfortunately the quality of the room was not as good as the common areas. There were few spidernets here and there overseen by the maids, water from sink and bidet was not drinkable, which is ok, but the management should have said that at check in. Although it was the most expensive week of the year for Italian holidays, price charged was way too high for international standards. I'm sure off peak prices might be more reasonable.

Beautiful breakfast in a private atmosphere and even individual wishes are fulfilled. We had the feeling that everything was done so that we have a great and comfortable time. Thank you very much, we enjoyed our stay a lot!! :)

Reviewed By aleksander sBelmare hotel has great location overlooking the harbor of Porto Azzurro. Typical Italian 3-star hotel, small room but you have everything you need. The rooms with balconies have great view to the harbor and city, you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset from the balcony. The hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from the city center with restaurants and shopping. Breakfast is good, cappuccino is excellent. Staff is very kind and helpful. There is no parking at hotel (you can just unload the luggage), you need to use public parking in the city.

The complex consists of two separate buildings where the apartments are situated in different types. It offers outdoor areas with barbecue and pizza oven. Suitable for a stay of course relaxation.Situato nella deliziosa baia di Reale, poco distante dalla prima delle tre spiagge di ghiaia fine, raggiungibile attraverso una scalinata che parte direttamente dalla proprietà della struttura stessa. Il complesso si compone di due corpi distinti dove sono ubicati gli appartamenti di diverse tipologie. A disposizione spazi esterni attrezzati con barbecue e forno a legna. Adatto a trascorrere un soggiorno di sicuro relax.

Reviewed By AbinchWhile a bit remote (you need a car for shopping or eating outside), and local beach is average compare to other in Elba, we did enjoy a stay there. Very clean, well maintained, has all basic arrangements and superb service from owners. Perhaps the overall Internet connection could be improved (wifi is good) and some kitchen equipment is very basic, but it did not bother us too much.

Reviewed By Azad HFriendly and helpful staff keeps the place very clean in a peaceful surrounding. Kichenette allows preparing your own meals and eat it on your terrasse enjoying the beautiful view. The best restaurant in the area, just downhill, can be reached on foot. For all other restaurants you better take your car and hope you find a place to park in Porto Azzuro (can be a challenge) you may also use the free shuttle bus that pass on the main road.

Reviewed By w0rkingmumEnjoyed a lovely week at Elba VIP. Off season this is great value. Apartment was spotlessly clean and the owner /manager exceptionally helpful. Ferries were sorted out for us in advance and nothing was too much trouble. Great location in Porto Azurro with lovely restaurants nearby. A good base for exploring the island with secure allocated underground parking for your car. All the apartments have a large terrace or balcony for sitting and eating outside and there are two pools for swimming, although these aren't heated. Very quiet in May but beautiful weather . We wouldn't hesitate to return.

This little hotel with its nearby apartments, surrounded by the green, in a peaceful position, lies just a few meters far away from the Barbarossa beach, one of the most natural and untouched beaches of the island with its vegetation reaching the sea. The rooms are simply furnished, all with private bath, telephone, color TV, some with balcony, heating.The apartments (2-room apartments for 4/5 guests - 40 sqm), all on the ground floor with small furnished garden.
Great place, but hefty walk out of town
Reviewed By Mick DOk, let's get this clear first. Elba is fab, and Porto Azzurro on is the emerald in the centre of the crown. So anything is excusable. This Hotel is great. Lovely owner and staff who helpoed us out when in a fix (car problem on last day before due to leave - found a room for extra night, lift to garage etc etc). The rooms are light and comfortable. All (I think) with balcony, though some a lot smaller than others. Nice little pool to lounge around/in and wide selection at breakfast buffet - though mainly typical Italian sweet stuff. Master the egg boiler as a challenge. The only down side is a challenging cross country yomp to get in and back from town. Not so bad in, but back could be a problem if you over eat/drink in the many great restaurants. However, it didn't kill us, so must be ok! Would certainly recommend, but not for those with any mobility problems
