Le Stanze dei Nonni. The name comes from a dream, a dream of my childhood, when I slept with them , often in their bed, in the double bed of their bedroom. Everything seemed to me big, even my grandfather Carmine a tall, strict, solid and protective man.
Quaint and comfy
Reviewed By Canadian1977-12Th B and B was just what we needed. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable. The host was very kind and friendly and offered suggestions for dinner. The breakfast had a nice selection. Parking was on the street but we felt safe leaving the car there. Definitely would stay here again.

One night stop over - for the sole purpose of the pool
Reviewed By 34aislingbWe decided to stay in the Virginia Spa & Resort as a stop over on our trip to make our journey shorter and we booked it for the sole purpose of the pool. When we asked where it was located, we were informed that we had to pay €55 ahead to use the facility as it is part of the spa. (I read in another review someone else was only charged €10?) No one informed us of this charge prior to our arrival, even in an email & we weren’t told about this when we were checking in. It is an obscene amount of money to spend to sunbathe for a few hours! After checking booking.com, there is no ‘(additional charge)’ beside swimming pool. The other problem we had in the hotel was with the bar. We had a drink with lunch but went downstairs at 5pm looking for a pre dinner drink, when we asked for a wine or beer we were just given a ‘no’. If you are looking for a hotel with a bar, which usually you don’t even have to check, this hotel is not for you. I never write negative reviews but with this hotel I felt like I had to as we weren’t pleased when checking out.

Relaxing Holiday
Reviewed By Elizabeth WWe arrived not knowing what to expect having read the reviews it was a little daunting to say the least. How wrong could we be the staff greeted us so warmly. Our room was spacious extremely clean and yes there was silver paint on the walls but it suited the overall look perfectly. The Air conditioning worked well and the shower was good. Our room overlooked the pool which was a lovely view maybe not the best if you enjoy early nights as the hotel often hosts outdoor parties but considering that the noise was well contained. Breakfast Although the bacon and eggs could have been hotter there was always good choice of foods to eat and an array of hot drinks. Dinner Even when parties were being held the food was cooked beautifully and the staff very obliging. We did prefer days when we could eat outside as it was a lovely atmosphere but we accept that it wasn’t always possible. Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay with super food and excellent staff. If you want a relaxing stay without the hustle and bustle this is the place however if you are looking for a typical resort destination then keep looking. Thank you to all who worked so hard to create a relaxing holiday. PS the pool is cold but lovely when you are in.

Reviewed By naomi106Peeling wall paper, two broken beds put together, noisy aircondotion. ugly entrance that closes at 20.00. so if you need a blanket - because there none in them room except the bed cover - no one there. Bad breakfast They show you a spa or swimming pools that dont exist for customers. I will keep away.

Reviewed By Leonfrank84010This would of been an ok review if it wasnt for my clothes going missing from the room. 2 tops and a pair of trousers! And when i told them the response i got was that maybe it got caught up in the laudry when they changed the sheets... i dont see how as it was all folded in my suitcase! Just seems all very bizzare!no compensation nothing at all... definatly wont be going back.

Reviewed By A6216BNdanielepRistorante con location discreta, personale in capace di svolgere il proprio servizio, impresentabili senza una divisa da location a 4stelle, cibo pessimo paccheri ai frutti di mare solo con solo i gusci dei frutti di mare, fusilli alla contadina senza sapore e senza sale, Angus di vitello al vino sembrava già masticato e poi ricacciato pessimo,frutta con una salsa in sapore e in colore. Servizi igienici sporchi ed impossibile da utilizzare. Ristorante da evitare assolutamente, questa non è ristorazione ma improvvisazione.

meglio stare alla larga
Reviewed By Patrizio956il 26 di luglio, con 33 °C di temperatura (persino la Siberia stava andando a fuoco per il caldo torrido), ci dicono che, a causa di un "problemino" ci hanno cambiato camera. Dopo, scopriamo che il "problemino" era la totale mancanza di aria condizionata (espressamente annoverata tra i servizi offerti). Abbiamo dovuto andar via di corsa e cercare un'altra sistemazione. I titolari ci hanno rimborsato la prima notte ma si sono trattenuti, come penale per cancellazione le successive tre notti (ma chi è venuto meno ai propri obblighi morali e materiali, visto che si sono guardati bene dall'avvisarci preventivamente del "problemino"?).
