We not too much interection with the staff in restaurant or reception bcs to crowded while having a breakfast an checking or checkout proces (weekend vibes). We got city view room look good, and large room. The problem in the toilet bowl, after i flush the water keep runing out. When we waiting the lift to go to restaurant. We meet the room attd we report and he directly check. But it not finish yet. It stop at that time, but after that it happend again the water not stop. Finally, we just left it out. We stay in smoking room if im not mistaken in 803 under name Putra. Not far from the lift, on right side. We order in room dining to having our dinner, bcs their buffet saturday is not open yet. The food was good. Especially the chessy pizza, and lava cake. But dont know why the breakfast menu looks so so. Their chicken very hard cant bite. Lontong kuah too salty. Thats why we dont go to restaurant the next day.

A great stay away from Home
Reviewed By beruang26Marriott Medan did not fail on providing a very pleasant stay away from home. Throughout my stay with my family, we were greatly pampered with the comfort of a home. We were greeted by Mr. Aper Lase who took care of us well beyond our expectations. Other staffs at Marriott Medan were also very accommodating. The room we stayed in, a larger size guest room with king bed, provided adequate space for three with superb amenities and spotless cleanliness. Breakfast menus were wide-ranging with different varieties everyday during our four-day stay. During the pandemic, meals were served by the kitchen staffs rather than a regular buffett style system. The only improvements are friendliness of the kitchen staffs serving the meals and coffee delivery time. Executive lounge access provided daily evening cocktails from 17:30 to 19:30. Although that period might be a good timing for cocktails during a business stay, it was hard for us to enjoy this perk within the time limit due to the nature of our stay being vacation, when we were out-and-about for dinner. We managed to get one cocktail evening during our stay and the overalls were nice. The alcohol selections were limited to spirits and wines, with no actual cocktail mixes unfortunately. However, when asked, the staffs were crafty and managed to get my G&T even when I asked for limes from the fruit stands. We got hold of using the fitness centre with no complains and hassles. Swimming pool seemed to be always very crowded and booking prior was needed. We also booked the spa services with massage and scrub. The spa was relaxing and with friendly masseuses. The coffee scrub, which supposed to be recommended, was out of stock unfortunately. All in all, it had been a tremendously pleasing stay. Minor improvements can certainly be made to create a truly 5-star hotel experience.

Hotel is fine, service is excellent

The included breakfast is decent enough with a choice of several local dishes and some toast and pastries; music was way too loud for my taste though. The hotel was very busy during our stay, so the restaurant was full at times and we had to wait for a seat. Had an issue with the laundry service at the end of my stay, but the head of housekeeping went really out of his way to retrieve my laundry in time - excellent service!

Cheap hotel and poor service

I can say the service is really bad omg 1 thing that im so mad about is I requested for bowl and cuttleries, and WE HAVE TO GET THEM BY OURSELF FROM RESTAURANT HAHA Not to mention the others. I’ll just let u guys know the worst one I ever stayed in 1 to 5 stars hotel, they would deliver what we request to our room Conclusion is they dont have hospitality on them The location is ok for me, there are so many food stalls around at night. There is also mini mart near the hotel I chose this hotel cuz i saw in maps its near to many restaurants, the room looked nice in photo, the rate is cheap, and its SWISSBELL ?

Reviewed By riznadwiI was staying during EID season, booked for 10 rooms. The manager, Mr. Saut Purba was really helpful in assisting my reservations. He tried his best to fulfill my request, such as connecting room and same floor level because I stayed with my big family. The best surprise was upgrading room on 10th floor for myself. Thank you sooo much! Mr. Saut also assisted in arranging birthday surprise for my brother-in-law, some staffs are joining us to knock on his room with pretty bday cake and wishes. The breakfast was excellent, food are tasteful, me and my family loved it. This hotel served severals choices on their breakfast buffet. This hotel also had a nice swimming pool, it was not big but clean and safe for children. The front office staff are gorgeous during my checkout. Last but not least, thank you Grandhika Hotel for such a memorable stay. :-)

Reviewed By the_musafirGood location, good room, good restaurant. But what really made this an excellent rating was the staff. All the staff were polite and helpful. Special mention for Putra and Dewi on the front desk. These 2 really went out of their way to help me out. I cannot thank them enough. They are a credit to the organisation. I would like to make a couple of suggestions though. The front entrance has steep steps, please consider installing a ramp along the side to assist people with mobility issues and those carrying heavy luggage. Also the front off street parking area. Once again it can be an issue for less able bodied people to get past the parked cars. Please encourage guests to use the underground car park thus leaving the front less congested. I will definately stay here again if I visit Medan.
