Reviewed By sorrell rIn the add for the hotel and on the hotel website it said there was wifi, a restaurant and a sauna. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed, for no obvious reason. The WiFi was only in one room downstairs but not our room. The Sauna was closed, again we were given no reason. Given that these were the main reasons we booked the hotel, this was quite disappointing. The hotel is very minimal and although it’s cheap, I would expect WiFi these days. The breakfast was also minimal and very unhealthy. The staff was friendly and seem like really nice people, which is a positive but it didn’t impact the other things like the restaurant being closed etc. there are hardly any good restaurants in Mazzin, just boring old pizza and it wasn’t cheap. Overall, not a great place to stay. Maybe for one or two nights if you are desperate and hoping to spend little money. We travel a lot and have spent over a month in this area and this is by far the poorest place we have stayed.

Reviewed By jaoxi2015this big hotel work expecially with groups (school, summer camps ) but host also ordinary guests i.e. work like a normal hotel, rooms are clean but not very big, breakfast is plentiful (medium quality) and there is the possibility to have dinner for 15€. Groups can be noisy but at the end we sleep very well. Free big parking in front.

Wonderful stay for a wheelchair user and family
Reviewed By Momchil RThe hotel is fully accessible and the rooms are very nice, cozy and large enough to easily get around in. While the rest of the family was skiing, I, a wheelchair user, was able to relax with a cup of tea. The owners were extremely helpful and nice. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Cozy family-run hotel
Reviewed By Petr_and_PetraThis hotel is an excellent place to stay if you want to be out of the rush of the town-center but still close to the ski-slopes. Just in front of the hotel, there is a shuttle stop (Fontanazzo) which takes you in 5 minutes to ski lift (in Campitello) to Sella Ronda ski area. We enjoyed the hotel for 6 days in Jan/Fab 2013. Nice staff, however with basic english knowledge, but enough to understand :-) Hotel offers free parking and small wellness, which was not possible to book for a private use (due to the size it is suitable only for few people). Concerning sauna, we do not like people beeing dressed in sauna, as this is in opposite to hygienical rules. Nothing to do with hotel, but we met such people over there. Room was spacious, clean, with TV and WiFi internet. Bathroom was clean and spacious too. Breakfasts and dinners were tasteful and sufficient enough. No complaints at all! Nevertheless, a position of this hotel is not good for people looking for a night life.

Excellent stay at the Contrin
Reviewed By JamesHantsI stayed at the Contrin with two friends as a base for mountain activities. The hotel is in the local traditional style but is also very modern with clean and comfortable rooms. It is a short walk into Campitello where there are shops and restaurants. We received a very warm welcome and all the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed on a half board basis and both breakfast and evening meals were of excellent quantity and quality. They were also able to provide packed lunches at very reasonable cost. I don't think the Contrin receives many English visitors but we were able to get over any language problems. They translated the menu and provided information about local activities in English. The Contrin offered very good value for money and I'd certainly go back again.

A good place for family stay
Reviewed By Raimundas25It is located by the main road and is easy to reach by bus or a car. We stayed there during our skiing holiday in the beginning of february. It happened that those days brought some snow. As the villa is up the hill it was very diffcult to drive up, because the property owners did not make effort to fight ice on the street and saved some salt. In general the property itself is a Tyrolian style house, with a very kind hostess Cecilia. Breakfast was included. It was a bit monotonous, but sufficient. We liked the stay.

Terrible place!!!
Reviewed By RonitKrispinWe arrived for six days and ran away after two sleepless nights. The beds are bad quality, terrible. Loud music until late at night did not allowed us to sleep. The place is not clean at all, we found hair at the new sheets, at the shower. The place is badly maintained. But more then that, when’s we kindly asked to move, due the noise during night and the badly maintained room, the owner refused and allowed to leave hotel without refund. There is a sauna works only 3 hours a day, not on weekend!!!! It is not clean and there are no towels at this area. Dinner was good but breakfast was mainly bread and honey. One of the kids was not hongrey so we made him sandwich the hotel charged us 30 Euros fir that!!!! If you want to enjoy your holiday do not go there! Family with kids.

Entrambi gli appartamenti sono dotati di ogni comfort, ben arredati e decisamente spaziosi. Ottima pulizia. Proprietari sempre disponibili e accoglienti. Stare in vacanza sentendosi a casa

Old with unwelcoming atmosphere but clean

If you just need a cheap place to fall dead asleep after a day full of exercise, this is for you. But if you’re looking for comfy beds and a bit more, you better keep on looking. Staff was friendly but very inefficient and after already waiting for a while I decided to sit down and wait more comfortable. For the checkout. With one person in front me, also checking out. Breakfast was Italian average, i.e. great coffee, a few croissants, scrambled eggs, but nothing much else. But, as always, you get what you pay for.
