Reviewed By lamontravelMy grandmother's family comes from this town in Bavaria. We have stayed at this pension several times in the past. We get to visit my family about once a decade. My mother knew Anita Fuchs. Staying here is like staying with family. The rooms are clean. We lucked out and got a 2 bedroom suite that was complete with a full kitchen, sitting area and bathroom. It was essentially an apartment-perfect for traveling with our college-bound daughter! We have stayed in other rooms before, and they have always been clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and is a typical German breakfast with selection of breads, cereal, deli meats and cheeses. There are juices and coffee or tea to drink. Dinner is excellent! It reminds me of homemade German food I grew up eating and now make myself. The owner said they are renovating the pension and adding a spa. I look forward to seeing the new addition during our next stay in the Mauth. I highly recommend Gasthof Pension Fuchs Anita!

A nice quiet if somewhat quirky place to stay.
Reviewed By mfuweWe wished to visit the Bavarian Forest NP whilst on a tour and this place caught our eye. Booking was easy and the welcome warm. We have a very nice room and the breakfasts were buffet style and very adequate. Rolls and Yoghurt/jams etc., plus the usual Germanic cold meats and cheeses. (Despite Peter's affectation with all things Scottish there was no Haggis or black puddings on offer Lol) We were offered supper snacks if we did not wish to go out to eat although there are some restaurants in the village. The supper snacks were more than adequate although of necessity limited in variety. Alcohol was supplied on the honesty system of keeping a note. The bedroom was spacious and en suite and all fittings appeared new and clean. Parking was available in a large underground garage. Everywhere was decorated on the Scottish theme and Peter even sported several kilts such is his enthusiasm. Several nice places in the area and we would love to return for longer stay next time.

Reviewed By MuschfrauGut gefallen hat mir; das Zimmer mit Balkon, die Ruhe in der Nacht, man könnte sogar mit offenem Fenster schlafen, die Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer, die weiche Matratze, der Garten, Sauberkeit, kleines feines Frühstück , viele Bücher zum schmökern und die Marillenknödel im Restaurant! Nicht gefallen hat mir; kein Duschgel im Bad und das man bei nur einer Übernachtung einen Zuschlag zahlen muss!!!!!

Wiedersehen macht Freude..... und hier ganz besonders!
Reviewed By hansgeorgf349Nach einer längeren Pause hatten wir dieses Jahr wieder einmal die Gelegenheit, die Pension Kilger in Mauth zu besuchen. Es war wie ein nochmaliges "nach Hause kommen". Alles war beim wohl bekannten "Alten": die herzliche Atmosphäre, die ausgezeichnete Verpflegung und die gemütlichen Zimmer. Es ist weiterhin ein hervorragend funktionierender Familien-Betrieb, bei dem man sich auf jede einzelne Person verlassen kann. Die Lage lädt nach wie vor zu interessanten, lehrreichen und unterhaltsamen Wanderungen, Spaziergängen oder Auto-Ausflügen. Das ganze Jahr über ist diese Unterkunft der ideale Platz, um stressfrei den Bayrischen National-Park kennen- und schätzen zu lernen. Die nächtliche Ruhe wird hier garantiert, den Mauth liegt jenseits irgendwelcher lautstarken Störungsquellen. Reviewed By 229christianwWunderschönes Chalets Erde mit hochwertiger und stylischer Ausstattung. Wir sind als Paar über unseren Jahrestag hier eingekehrt. Toller Service z.B. morgens frische Brötchen an die Haustür oder Grundausstattung wie Kaffee etc. inklusive oder eine Brotzeit zur Ankunft. Der Kamin, der Jacuzzi und Sauna runden den Aufenthalt perfekt ab. Wer es mag hat eine kleine Skipiste für Langläufer inkl. kleinem Skilift vor der Haustür.

Reviewed By bietzer56Wir waren auf Grund des sehr guten Preis Leistungs Verhältnis dort mehrfach zum Essen. Inhaber und dessen Familie sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Täglich wechselnde Tageskarte. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir überlegen nächstes Jahr gegebenenfalls einen Teil unseres Urlaubes dort zu verbringen.
