Good location, very friendly and helpful staff
Reviewed By LievenhxWe stayed for 3 nights around Xmas 2017. The hotel is in walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shopping area. All reception staff were very helpful and resourceful with a number of questions and issues we had. The rooms are small and so is the shower but we slept well, there is excellent a/c, flat screen tv and good functioning WiFi. There is no fridge in the room. The ground floor with the breakfast area looks like it was recently refurbished. Breakfast is good but a bit limited e.g. no eggs or fruit.

Living on past fame
Reviewed By F4591KIjosepThe Hotel is living on past fame, it is currently the most expensive hotel in the city and proud to be a five star, while they only give you a three star experience. The rooms are outdated, the carpet is way too old and there is visible rust, peeling and other lack of maintenance on the bathrooms hardware. We had two of the best suites they offer and the view was very nice though. The service personnel was at times rude and some grossly untrained. They are enforcing what they call aforo, which is restrictions on capacity and services everywhere, but really what they are doing is offering less with less personnel, they make you reserve one day in advance for breakfast, sauna, pool use etc . When you try to use any of these services, they prevent guests access without reservation even if it is empty at the time. The beach is unusable since they rent all the tents to locals for the whole season, we had to end using a nearby beach club since the Hotel didn't even reserve a few tents for their guests. All this happened on low season, on December 2021, so good luck during high season. The most brilliant moment was when my father in law ordered a Cognac at the lobby bar and they brought him Fireball, yes fireball, I pointed politely that it was mistaken, and after a few minutes the server came to explain that they thought fireball was the most similar since they ran out of cognac... I hope you get a better stay than me!

Good Hotel, good location

The room is spacious and tidy although a bit cold, especially on winter days. The AA was not enough. I think a hotel like that deserves central heating. Very simple breakfast for a hotel in this category, they should add some more items

The restaurant is not at the right level for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is barely ok and dinner is average at most with prices much higher than the average of the truly good restaurants of the city. The huge building is in need of some extra attention to detail, but overall I am happy about having stayed at this hotel. Would strongly recommend, however, going out for dinner and skipping the hotel's restaurant.

Reviewed By egghead10We are staying at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is situated on the main street with all the shops and bars and restaurants. The hotel is a bit dated but clean and spacious. The staff are polite and helpful if you need anything for the room or something is not working go to reception and its sorted within minutes. The rooms are abit dated but the beds are really comfortable and 2 showers one over a bath and a seperate shower cubicle,with plenty of hot water. Free safe in the room to. The rooms look over the city we are on floor 14 so would say ask for a high floor. Really enjoyable stay

Reviewed By guillermobolanosLocated next to the upscale Guemes and Olavarria streets and the new mall on the former bus station, the hotel is on a quiet upper class neigborhood and is 200 meters from a Disco supermarket and 400 meters from the select Playa Varese. It is 50 years old on a nice mansion but well kept, elegant and comfortable. Parking and breakfast are included. Prices are moderate. All rooms have tv, Air conditioning and heater and are quiet.
