Friendly service

Modern hotel, nice room, although shower looked a bit worn out. Limited amenities in the room, only a safe. Good breakfast buffet, nice pool area. Within walking distance to center of town but the hotel is on a busy street. The only issue we had was that the AC unit was very loud and this prevented us from having a good night's sleep. Service at front desk was excellent, the receptionist was very helpful and went our of her way to provide assistance and directions to wineries. Welcome drink included.

Howard Johnson Hotel Rinconada de Los Andes

Howard Johnson SAVED US

Reviewed By jennyisreallycool

After realizing I didn't book a hostel for one night during our 10 day trip through Peru and Chile, I panicked and started looking for a hostel/hotel that night (this was literally at 3:00a after arriving in Santiago). I was able to book the hotel through Expedia, and by the time we had our rental car situation figured out, we arrived at Howard Johnson around 10:00a. Check-in wasn't until 3:00p, and we were dirty and tired and frustrated after such a long flight, but they let us check in to our rooms early. We immediately took the hottest showers which were heavenly. The rooms were perfect and clean, and there is a restaurant on-site which served the tastiest foods. The location is gorgeous (you are quite literally flanked by the Andes). We took naps by the pool and recuperated. Staying here in between cheaper hostels was the best decision our group made. I would absolutely recommend this place to fellow travelers.

Centro Turistico Barros

Great relaxing vibe, green spaces, great food!

Reviewed By klloydbeaufort

We had an amazing stay at Centro Turistico Barros. It’s a collection of private, spaced out bungalows, as well as some larger shared buildings, all nestled next to three lovely pools – one heated - with lots of cozy places to sit and relax or play games like ping pong or foosball. The food was the best we had in our entire trip to Chile. They had a large variety of fresh squeezed juices and homemade breads, salsas, soups, grilled meats, and salads. The lovely plants scattered around the property gave it a welcoming feel. The whole vibe of the place was really great. I hope to go back again!

Cozy stay and a beautiful family boutique hotel

Reviewed By iamaiam

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cardon! It is such a welcoming boutique hotel run by a very friendly family that went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The property feels like home, it is very relaxing to sit in the backyard by the pool and tiki hut. Our first night we arrived late and they made us dinner which was a great pizza and wonderful wine and beer. It really helped us to relax after a long day of travel and really made us feel at home. Breakfasts was amazing as well, they fill you delicious coffee and everything you need to start your day. I would highly recommend this to couples and families looking for a quaint stay. I would also recommend as a great spot for a wedding, family reunion or other gathering because the backyard and lobby are ideally set up for parties and food is delicious.

Average hotel but ok to have a good night sleep

I went to Los Andes for a last minute trip of a day and having not done any online booking, I went to this hotel. Location wise, it is 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre and therefore there are several shops, restaurants and supermarkets. There is parking available and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooms are simple, a bed, a TV, a dresser and a private bathroom but as lodging in Los Andes is sparse, it did the job. The wifi worked well throughout the stay and there was an English channel. The hotel has a nice swimming pool that you may enjoy in the summer. The breakfast provided is quite satisfactory, bread, cakes, yoghurts, cereals, cheese meat and jam. Bear in mind that juice isn’t fresh and coffee is instant. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and my main criticism is that paying US $80 was a little overpriced for what was offered . Yet, it is clean and an acceptable if you need to stay in Los Andes town.

Enjoy Santiago Hotel del Valle

Not an experience to "enjoy"

Reviewed By 897demif

When arriving to the hotel we had to wait for an hour in a line in front of the hotel to do our check-in. The service was very unfriendly and I wanted to pay with debit card but apparently that was impossible for them. We ended up paying with the Chilean credit card of my boyfriend, including taxes we should not have to pay since I'm not a Chilean resident and I made the booking. In our room was a beautiful bathtub that we couldn't use because the plug was missing. We called the servicedesk to ask them to bring the plug, but they never did. Also we had a sofa in our room which was full of white stains, clearly not cleaned. Then there was the breakfast, which was a disaster. They didn't have enough tables. When we got a table we had to wait 40 minutes for somebody to give us a drink. I was expecting a breakfast buffet, but probably due to COVID-19 it changed (at least that's understandable). We received tasteless scrambled eggs and avocado in tiny portions, we couldn't choose the flavour of yoghurt or the kind of breads. Also, we received only one juice and coffee. Nobody came to give us a refill and no option for cappuccino or whatsoever. All in all we had a terrible experience that wasn't even worth 2 stars. With exception of the room, everything was disappointing.

Surprisingly nice

Reviewed By etb874

As we arrived, in the dark after flying into Santiago and driving for an hour, our hearts sank. The neighborhood doesn't look like much nor did the hotel from the street. Plus they seemed to have no record of our reservation! But they did have the two rooms we needed and, after a short walk through a shabby hallway, we found comfortable and very clean rooms with nice baths. Breakfast was fine. Parking is inside a secure gate, which was nice. Suggest confirming a reservation a day or two before arrival.

Convenient location

Reviewed By ShavyB

This guest house is not so long open, they're just started in 2016. The location is convenient to the center of Los Andes (a short walk). We choose to stay with them because they have free parking Just one thing, is not easy to find. The time we were there in December 2016 there is no sign of guest house I ask the owner about it and he say they will put a sign outside later. We get inside through a gate for reception office The owner is very friendly and fluent with English We book this room 2 days in advance, the main house is fully book, they put us to opposite side of the building where were the only guest A big house with different rooms is so creepy walking around in such a big building where no others around. In the house - a communal living room where you can watch tv, dining room, shared bathroom and a terrace Free wifi is available The guest house has a restaurant, but we didn't eat there, they also serves breakfast in the morning. Swimming pool is available for guest and they serve cold drinks as well. Price a night is 40 dollar which well worth a price
