The perfect stay
Reviewed By pinako155We have stayed in Vilavita two years in a row, the second time for three nights, which I think it the biggest praise I can give them. Juodkrante is a fantastic place to stay, if you enjoy nature - forest, beach and sea, and has lovely restaurants, all in walking distance from Vilavita. You can have the sea-view accommodation, I would totally recommend getting rooms with the small terrace. Breakfast is served, they have a choice of warm courses and all food is good plus the portions are big enough. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is really friendly and attentive, and are happy to rent bikes for you if you would like. All in all, a house I will gladly return to.

Unfriendly staff, attempted to scam us
Reviewed By kimmokoooWe stayed in this hotel recently. The staff were very unfriendly and responded in a hostile manner when we asked normal question about the hotel and staying with them. When we were leaving the premises, they fabricated stories about us allegedly breaking stuff in the room which never happened. When we left without paying any attention to their false claims, they said they would blacklist us in all Lithuanian hotels through their online service. This is blackmailing and extortion which no hotel should ever do. To make things worse, none of the staff spoke a single word of English. I would avoid this place at any cost.

Great location but...
Reviewed By jenstouphWe stayed here last year as there is only one other hotel here, so they is not alot of choice. We stayed on the top floor last year, This year we are on ground level. I probably prefer the top floor as it feels a better room but I would agree with the other reviews it lacks a bit of TLC. It's a wonderful place to visit and great to have somewhere to stay at a good price but a few basic improvements could be made. I agree with the other comments visitors have made. I'll see if it's any different next year.

It's not really a hotel
Reviewed By Ruta U-no room cleaning -no towel/bedsheets changing -no toiletries supply (they will provide half of the tubest of the cheapest shower gel, liquid soap and shampoo) -no trash bags take away from the room I can't call it a hotel because they do not provide most of the hotel amenities so be prepared for that! No AC but they provide air-fan so that is better than nothing, extremely hot on the second floor of the "hotel". You are able to keep your bicycles in the backyard garrage.

We are offering a comfortable stay with air conditioning, all the necessary equipment in the kitchen, washing machine. Apartments have terraces where you will be able to enjoy your morning coffee. Most of the apartments are on the ground floor and have a separate entrance to the building. Free place to park your car right next to the entrance. It will take only 3 minutes to reach the Kuršių Lagoon and the Baltic in 20 minutes on foot. Few cafes, shop and a children playground are a couple of meters from the apartment. The bus stop is 2 minutes away.

Reviewed By simonasv211Best place to have holidays! Everything is brand new. Clean place, no smells. Doors were jammed ones, but it was fixed remotely in few minutes. Very friendly owner! Will come back next year. P.s be careful when using knives, it’s very sharp. Regards, Simas.

Quite the experience, steps from the Curonian Lagoon
Reviewed By sslanskyThis was quite the experience in a retrofitted Soviet barracks. The beds are old and quite soft, but there's a lot of character. It's certainly a backpackers' type accommodation. The proprietor was nice and flexible and happily met us and made sure we were settled. The bathrooms are sparse, but have hot water.

Uncomfortable and not clean
Reviewed By curious_emilijaWe came here for a mini honeymoon (straight after the wedding) and were really disappointed. First of all, when you book a place with a “10” rating for cleanliness (on booking.com), you expect it to be clean right? Well it wasn’t. There were hair, dust and sand on the sheets and the toilet had urine stains. When we called to check if they had clean sheets, the owner sent a cleaning lady. We waited for her just sitting there on the couch for about an hour and when she came, her attitude was outstanding. She didn’t understand why I wanted to change the sheets, so I pointed to the hair and dirt. The toilet part left me speechless - she wiped it with toilet paper and flushed. When I asked if she’s going to clean it properly, she said that she did and it’s clean.. but who urinated on it after she cleaned it and before we came here?! And talking about the comfort - the apartment is well equipped, you will find anything you might need during your stay, but there’s one huge minus - the mattress has a big hollow in the middle, so you roll to the middle of the mattress while you sleep. After a few nights it starts to hurt your back too. So all in all, the most important parts of the apartment wasn’t clean, the stay wasn’t comfortable, at the end we were actually looking forward for our departure and we’re not planning to come back for anniversaries or anything.
