I left my credit card on the coffee table and they tracked me down via the tourist office and phoned my hotel to let me know. What terrific service! Thankyou

Good location for a visit, but could use a brushup
Reviewed By 726michaelvIt is an ok hotel in the middel of Illmitz, which is in walking distance to all restaurants etc. in town. Easily accessible and directly on the main street. However, it is a bit worn out and could use a freshup. Both in the reception, restaurant and in the rooms. Breakfast was also okay'ish, but not better than average.

Lovely hotel with family rooms
Reviewed By ninafromhhLovely hotel with lovely wine. We stayed in a family room (21) which for a family was perfect. The room was very clean and we enjoyed the continental breakfasts. The pool was welcomed as it was a very hot week.

Amazing wine & excellent food

We learned about wine, enjoyed a fabulous 10 course tasting menu with some gorgeous wine, saw some amazing scenery - lots of wildlife, lovely walks, white donkeys and after all this returned home relaxed, well rested and wiser. What more can you ask!

Quiet and relaxing
Reviewed By traveller1ViennaThis lovely private accommodation is ideal for a few relaxing days in Burgenland. The rooms are large and very clean and there is also a small fridge in the room for private use. The hosts are very friendly and Frau Gartner lays on a great breakfast with lots of homemade treats such as spread cheeses, jams, cakes and homemade bread. One evening we spent with Herr Gartner wine tasting and he certainly has a wide selection and some really fine drops. There is a wide selection of excellent restaurants and wine cellars within walking distance and a riding stable nearby. Highly recommendable.

Relaxing base with beatiful garden
Reviewed By clarachuffWe found this old Courtyard with old buildings renovated to make about 4 apartments, all on the ground floor, suited us perfectly. We had a two bedroom place, with both a back door and a front door! More like a bungalow really. We loved the roomy bathroom with shower, loo and Basin, hairdryer, heated towel rail and storage furniture. The beds were very comfortable with quality bed linen. Towels were fluffy and mostly soft.The all in one, kitchen/lounge/ diner did not have any arm chairs other than the wicker ones at the table. We found a choice of coffee machines including a new Dolce Gusto, which we soon learned how to use. The new slimline dishwasher was excellent. The fridge/freezer is a reasonable size, but there isn't much cupboard space for your own groceries. The lighting is poor with no under cupboard lights, but by using the cooker hood light, we were able to see what we were doing. We ate out a lot anyway. The washing machine and tumble dryer in an outhouse were very useful. We hired bikes, which we kept safely in the Barn. We adored the garden which Trudi and her husband tended daily, and had our favourite sitting places. There are sun-loungers in the Barn that you can get out and place on the small lawn. Trudi And Bernhardt were so friendly, that we felt like we belonged there, and hope to return.

Reviewed By AugefuersdetailDurch Zufall sind wir auf die 2 Gästezimmer Resi der Familie Tschida aufmerksam geworden und haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten beide Zimmer gebucht. Die Zimmer sind modern und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, das Badezimmer ist klein aber fein, zwischen den beiden Gästezimmern ist eine Küchenzeile und gleich vor der Tür draußen eine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit. Nicht zu vergessen die Klimaanlage! Alles ist sehr neuwertig und durchdacht. Das Frühstück gibt's im Wintergarten. Es ist qualitativ top, alles frisch - von Gebäck über Feinkost und Gemüse bis Kaffee. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich, nicht aufdringlich, aber stets verfügbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück und äußerst friedlich gelegen, unmittelbar am Rande der Puszta. Sehr empfehlenswert bei gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. - Der Neusiedler See ist nur ca.4 Km Kilometer entfernt. Illmiz ist ein typisches kleines Weinbauern-Städchen mit zahlreichen Heurigen und Schmankerl-Gastronomie.

Herzlichkeit und tolle Weine!

Christa hat uns ganz herzlich begrüßt und spontan mit uns eine ausführliche und stimmige Weinverkostung (“fast das ganze Sortiment”) gemacht. Danach wurden wir noch durch das Weinbaugebiet chauffiert und Rudi hat uns die Produktion gezeigt. Wir sind begeistert!
