Reviewed By kiplangatk2022For me, Lamec Hotel comes highly recommended. I stayed at the hotel from 20 March to 29 March 2022. I loved the overall feel of the hotel but the most important factor for me was the friendliness and the willingness of the staff to help. Being someone who doesn't speak Turkish, the staff really helped me a lot in everything from calling a taxi, to recommending meals, to helping with PCR test which is was a requirement for my return. I would surely stay here again when visiting Gebze.

A nice surprise
Reviewed By 579claudiazA hotel very close to the highway, halfway by car to Cappadocia ( 750 km from Bucharest) and with excellent conditions. Breakfast was included in the price and the cost of the room aroubd 32 Eur. Beds are very restful and comfortable. Staff very attentive.

Good for the business traveller

If I was looking for somewhere to stay while visiting local businesses for a couple of nights, I'd consider this. It's on the main road and away from the town, but close to the businesses. We stayed here because we missed our connection. They processed us all in very quickly, so we were in bed within 5 minutes of arriving at gone 3 in the morning. The room was clean and small, but it didn't need to be any bigger. Bathroom was clean and useable. No complaints. Breakfast was typical Turkish hotel fair: boiled egg, cheese, processed meat, bread with jam and honey. Coffee OK. No complaints. Dinner was soup followed by chicken and chips. Nice and filling. A little cake to finish would have been nice. Evening meal was soup followed by chicken curry and tomato pasta. Unusual but nice. Lots of conference rooms and mixing spaces down stairs all in good order. Outdoor pool was empty, but it was snowing. The gym was poor, but an OK space for doing your own stuff. If you too the time I'm sure you could work out a maintenance session with the stuff there.

Reviewed By LoveTravel608409I arrived late after 11 pm from the nearest airport shuttled in luxury van to the Grand Gebze Hotel. My driver's helped bring my luggage and the owner was behind reception desk. He was very kind and friendly. He advised me to go up to my room and get rest as I was exhausted from a long international flight and pay in the morning. Staff is very nice and efficient. Accommodations was nice and comfortable. I recommend anyone to stay there for a peaceful rest and relaxation. There is a restaraunt and a bar inside. The breakfast is very good. I couldn't get enough of their fabulous buffet. They will deliver from their menu directly to your room. I hope to return there once again for a peaceful rest.

Tired hotel
Reviewed By peterbondsteThis is a poor Holiday Inn, very tired and horribly soulless. The lobby is silent as is the restaurant unless the tv is blaring out some nondescript euro pop. The young guy in the restaurant however was a breath of fresh air and very helpful. The rooms don’t have any English channels at all even if CNN and BBC World is shown in the list. The lady on reception who checked me out hardly spoke English. The location is unfortunate as it’s right on a busy dual carriageway in a fuel station forecourt. Breakfast spread was poor quality (except the bread). I will stay somewhere else next time as there are plenty of better hotels with only slightly higher prices in this area. The place needs a big renovation to breath life back into it.

Reviewed By 208erwinhStayed in this hotel for 1 night for business purposes. My room was been pre-booked, check-in process went smooth. Stayed in room 110 on street side. Rooms is quite spacious, clean, well maintained with minibar and safe. The bathroom is another story, there needs to be a massive maintenance and cleaning operation to be carried out. Moult on silicone, joined missing, ceiling damaged,… Enough amenities foreseen. Had late dinner, ordered mixed grill, delicious meat well prepared. Good service Breakfast is ok WIFI good
