Our Winneburger Hof is located in a central but also quiet location only 50m away from the Moselle river in Ernst right next to the local capital Cochem. The historical half-timbered house from the 16th century is equipped with a wine lounge and vinotheque with wine refrigerator and offers ten holiday apartments for up to 5 persons. Each holiday apartment is equipped with kitchen/kitchenette, one or two bathrooms, roofed balcony, satellite TVs and free WiFi. All our guests receive the "Gästeticke" (guest ticket) with which they can use all buses and trains in the Cochem-Zell district and further for free.

Reviewed By 4dmitrycGreat place for a family vacation! Cosy and stylish “Fachwerkhaus”. Brilliant location to visit the Mosel area. Very quiet, romantic and a peaceful place! No problems with parking. The owners are very kind, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

A nice selection of german foods dishes done very nicely and with good portions and great taste.They also have a great selection of wines and some beers. Probably the best fine dinning in the area with nice atmosphere. The prices are just a bit high but worth it.

Great B&B
Reviewed By Kitiman CWe stayed at Haus Schwazenburg in Ernst for 7 nights. We arrived by train to Cochem Train station, there was taxi stand but no taxi awaited, the bus would be a better option to this B&B in Ernst. The bus stop was just outside the station and bus#711 took us (with luggages) right in front of the B&B in 15 minutes. The hosts, Marta and Michel were very friendly, generous, and helpful. We preordered dinners with Marta for the night we arrived since we arrived late in the afternoon and were unfamiliar with the area. Marta was a good cook, besides great dinner, there was a homemade Jam during breakfast. We were given guests tickets which we’d rather call ‘magic tickets‘ because we could use them on trains and buses from Koblenz to Traben-Trarbach for free for the whole stay. As a guest ticket holder you can also get a discount train ticket to Trier. The B&B is conveniently located, bus#711 runs every hour from Ernst to Cochem, from where you can easily get connections to either bus or train to near by Mosel towns. The cruise port to Beilstein is also across the street from the B&B. Behind the B&B, there is a trail along the vineyards, nice for a stroll or a hike. There are also bike routes along both sides of the river connecting from town to town.

Reviewed By LillhultarnOur fourth visit to Sonnenschein. This time 4 years since last time. Location - just south of and at walking distance from Cochem. Walkpath at the edge of the vineyards and the forest. Free parking - we always go here by car. Cozy and huge patio, where you can take your breakfast, dinner or just sip a glass of Mosel. Modernised rooms - Wooden floors, a bit hard beds. En suite shower/wc "over"-modernised with glass-panelled, well functioning shower. Restaurante - Today more common furnished. Preferred the previous old cubicle style. Excellent German style dining. Continental style breakfast with everything, from scrambled eggs and sausages to cereals and a selection of tasty fresh sourdough breads. At each breakfast, you're expected to sign up for dinner where 3 different courses are available; always one vegetarian, one meat and another meat or fish. A bit far from Bernkastel-Kues. Old style WiFi - not working on third floor.

Leckere Weine in sehr schöner, freundlicher Winzeria
Reviewed By Curious56525250342Wir sind als Familie im Oktober 2020 spontan außerhalb der regulären Öffnungszeiten zu Besuch in der Winzeria gewesen. Damals wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und erhielten eine spontane Weinprobe. Wir kauften einige Flaschen des wunderbaren Weins. Gestern sind wir erneut Gäste in der Winzeria gewesen und wieder sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Der Wein schmeckte vorzüglich, so dass wir erneut einige Kartons gekauft haben. Wir freuen uns auf ein wiedersehen und wünschen Familie Göbel alles Gute!

A quiet and friendly hotel in a lovely little town
Reviewed By Robin BI nice room with a balcony looking out towards the river (though not right on the river) and with lovely views of vineyards on the hillside opposite. Friendly staff at the cafe and hotel, and the cafe is open all day for drinks, snacks and cakes. We got a free bus ticket on the local bus for the duration of our stay, which was unexpected but a nice surprise. We used them to travel into Cochem to visit the castle. Cochem has loads of restaurants and shops, as well as the famous castle at the top of the hill. There was a garage for motorbike parking. Ernst has several restaurants and cafes along the main road, as well as a really pretty riverside walk area.

Reviewed By paulhK9265GXMeine Partnerin und ich waren vom 17.5. bis 28.5.2021 dort. Die Wohnung war unrenoviert und vieles im Argen. Nachdem ich bei Holidaycheck eine Bewertung vorgenommen hatte, behauptete es, wir wären nie da gewesen. Wir haben bis heute noch keine ordentliche Rechnung bekommen. Bar bezahlt haben wir Vorort. Die Lügerei geht echt zu weit. In der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft bekommt man ganz tolle Wohnungen und noch günstiger zum Teil. Heißwasser gab es kaum........ich will nicht alles aufzählen. Ich strebe nun eine rechtliche Auseinandersetzung mit dem Gästehaus Kirch an.
