Great concept that could be improved
Reviewed By Daoda2Certainly the nicest hotel in the area and much better than staying in Ciudad Valles. You're out in the countryside, so it has bugs and it's not luxurious, but still very comfortable and a unique experience. The (very) young staff was enthuiastic and eager to please, if not always super competent. That said, the food (breakfast and dinner are included in the price) was disappointing. Not particularly good and child-sized portions. You felt like Oliver Twist asking for more just to get enough to feel at least partly full. The hot water in the room didn't really work (it was at best tepid) and I was told it would be fixed but it wasn't. Beds rather hard, but again, it's not trying to be the Four Seasons.

Eco-touristic Accommodation on the Micos bank (Ciudad Valles), a perfect spot if you want to discover the Huasteca Potosina and all the natural activities of the area. Indeed, our hotel is located at the heart of the Huasteca, in a huge natural environment very close to the « Sierra de la Colmena » jungle, next to Micos River and only 20 minutes away from the facilities of a city (Ciudad Valles). Come and enjoy staying in one of the bungalows whose architecture and eco-technics are friendly to the environment. The construction materials of each one of the bungalows ( palm, bamboo, marble,...) as well as their color create a perfect atmosphere to make you feel integrated in nature. Don'tt stop dreaming and come to relax in our steam Prehispanic bath... this place will really help purifying your body and mind. You can also try one of our massages... just lie down, relax, listen to the sounds of the waterfalls and birds and let the masseur look after you.
Small village feel with emphasis on quiet and natural
Reviewed By Mike5466Only 20-25 minutes from Ciudad Valles but it feels like going back in time. Somewhat of an eco-hotel along the beautiful and easy to swim Micos River. Beautiful tranquil quiet spot with excellent and plentiful buffet style food. On one night, my tour returned way past dinner time and they kept some food out for me. Each ‘bohio’ = hut (bamboo, stones, and thatch roof) is named after a local butterfly, bird, or legend. Your key holder has the same beautiful name and picture to match. The landscaping, although young, is well designed and maintained. They offer sweat lodges (for a minimum of 4 people). They offer massages. They also have a small store for things you may need (water socks, sunblock, hats, etc.). Each night the pathways are lit by torches, keeping things more natural looking. The staff is super friendly. I stayed here a week and met about 17 of the guides and none spoke English, so I am not sure how truly available that is (as another reviewer mentioned). Thankfully I speak fluent Spanish, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Only the second night was a bit of a nightmare as some folks decided to have a drunken party by the river and they were very loud (music, singing, and screaming) well until 6am. It could be heard from all huts. Not a peaceful night. It would have been nice if the staff dealt with this for the benefit of all other guests. Still a great place to be - I would happily return

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at
Reviewed By Bonnie GLong overdue review but Casa Kima is one of the best hostels I've stayed at in years of travel and 6 months in Mexico! The guys who run it are absolutely amazing and will treat you as an old friend from the moment they meet you. They are super knowledgeable about the area and took us to some amazingly beautiful spots. The dorms are very well set-up (individual single beds a great idea) and spotlessly clean. I hope I can go back one day! Highly recommended! x

El anfitrión Rubén controla todo tipo de lugares interesantes de la zona, sus recomendaciones nos hicieron descubrir sitios maravillosos. El hostal es acogedor, con buen aire acondicionado y en un lugar tranquilo y silencioso. Esperamos volver a México, a la Huasteca y al Hostal Casa Clavel para ver lo bonito que lo han dejado. ¡No os perdáis esta económica oportunidad de conocer la zona!

La posada e’ a Ciudad Valles da dove partono i Tours per la visita alla huasteca potosina che al suo interno ha cascate , giardini, castelli, natura... e molto altro. Per queste visite mi sono affidato a Max il titolare della posada . Uno spettacolo ! Preparato, affidabile, gentile ... un amico. La sua professionalità insieme alla posada a cui nulla manca hanno reso il soggiorno un vero “ regalo” . Ultimo ma non ultimo il sorriso di Marisa alla reception, anche lei contagiata da gentilezza , affidabilità e competenza. Lo raccomando con il cuore. Tornerò ...

Regresaremos en nuestra próxima visita a la Huasteca
Reviewed By BLL1212Estuvimos hospedados 3 noches, nos toco una habitación muy amplia en el último piso. Por comodidad es buena opción, esta cerca de todo y las habitaciones muy higiénicas. El ambiente muy tranquilo, en el cuarto no se escuchaba casi ruido. Durante el día no estuvimos en el cuarto pues salimos a los tours. Regresaremos en nuestra siguiente visita a la Huasteca.
