This is a very old cafeteria but the quality of the food is good and the price is better. It is very tight and small. It's across the street to the single other cafeteria in the area, La Troje. As in any other place in this area, you might need to wait a long time to get your order (20 to 30 mins). Just be pacient. You really need to get a big breakfast before going to any of the activities in La Huasteca.

I happened to have three meals at this restaurant and they all were great if you are into meat and simplicity.
Also there will be some special dishes you won't see in an average menu, so ask your waiter for a suggestion and don't be afraid to experiment!

All the food we ordered was delicious. Drinks, appetizers, main dishes and dessert.
The service was excellent too. The ambience was very pleasant. I really liked this place. Cant think of anything to complain about and I am a great complainer. I loved everything. I loved the flan dessert. It was one of the best Ive tried.

Some of the best ice cream I've ever had, made from natural ingredients and local tropical fruits. The main shop located in the center town is Cd. Valle and another on a road side, don't know the road, we were taken their buy our guides.

La Troje restaurants are scattered all over Ciudad Valles. We tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and all are excellent. The portions are good, quality is excellent, and the price is very affordable. The service is a little slow in comparison to the US but that is to be expected in Latin American countries where eating is considered more of a social event. I highly recommend eating at any of these restaurants.

Standard pizza with Mexican style toppings. The dine-in place on Highway 85 is halfway between take-out and dine-in. You can eat inside or on the patio and watch the traffic. They serve cold beer.

I went to this bar on a Saturday night for something to eat and a beer. The menu is simple Mexican food but what I ordered, Panchos, was tasty and the size of the portion was good. Prices are very good, $60-80 average and $20 for a bottle of La Victoria, and the staff were very friendly.
Two bands were playing rock music and they were excellent. The people in the bar were very friendly and I felt really welcome here. I would definitely go back for the food and the atmosphere.

Visited with my husband and got prompt and friendly service. Food was good but nothing out of the ordinary, only downside it's that it took more than 20 minutes to get our check. It normally wouldn't be a problem but we were very tired, and ready to leave. There is street parking available and the place itself is clean and nice.

Everything was perfect! Had a great dinner with my friends after adventuring through la huasteca potosina... pasta was incredible and the taste of their pizzas is just amazing! Fully recommended.
