Reviewed By buibinh29First impress is the gorgeous view. Can easily access to the infinite beauty of Cat Ba, mixture of land and sea, never get bored. The staff’s also wonderful. It seem like they desire to smile with the guest, despite of tiredness. Warm welcome and friendly attitude, especially Mr. Chien. He gave a lot of useful advises which are very appreciate by us. HK also earned a good point. We had a requirement in a difficult time, CI time, took a bit long time but they still came with a gesture. FB staff is nice, however maybe lack of staff, they were drown in the order. The food is normal, i think their cake is the highest recommended disk in here. Overall, it’s a great, truly resort, we do have a great time in here. Thank you!

Quiet and Just What We Needed
Reviewed By Clarissa4485My husband and I stayed here for two nights in March. It provides exactly what we needed for the time we were there. The hotel is tucked away down a side street and is within a quick three minute walk to the Main Street. The breakfast is good, the Pho is some of the best we have had in a hotel. Every time we left or entered the building the staff always greeted us with a warm hello. The AC, WiFi and the hot water worked really well. While there was mold in the bathroom, everything looked clean and the room didn’t smell moldy. All in all it was pleasant.

Reviewed By CDNJNCBasic, but clean, quiet, and very good staff. Excellent value for what you pay. I would not hesitate to recommend. Good location as well - about a block up from the main strip. Close enough that it's a very short walk to everything, but not nearly as noisey as the hotels along the street. Staff speaks English quite well if that is important.

Whisper Nature Bungalow is located in Viet Hai village - very beautiful valley of Cat Ba National park . The village is surrounded by mountains so it is very quiet and amazing lanscape. This is an ideal place to relax and stay away from the noise of the city. There are many outdoor activities around here such as: boat trip visiting Lan Ha bay, biking, rock climbinmg, kayaking, snokeling,... and there are many interesting things waiting for you!

The grounds were very pretty and nestled in a quiet valley with hiking trail locations nearby ranging from easy to difficult. Views at the top were incredible The real star here is the family. They are super friendly and accommodating. They will meet every need and go above and beyond to help you arrange any travel plans or answer any question. If your'e looking for a quiet place to do some hiking and want to meet the friendliest family on Cat Ba this is it!

Reviewed By SoloSunjoWe stayed two nights and although this is the not the fault of the hotel, the entire town town caters to “Western food.” It tastes horrible. Why come to Vietnam and eat American food that isn’t prepared the same? The staff and breakfast buffet are great. Coffee is top notch! The rooms are small. Unless you pay more for the family room you will have a bath with shower over the toilet. It’s not a separate shower. So your entire bathroom is wet. Beds are large and comfortable. This is called a bungalow but it’s really hotel rooms. Towels are ample but they are given damp. Bring own soap and shampoo some are given but very small amount. Pool is nice. WiFi barely works unless you are in the lobby. This really sucks. TV connects to uTube TV and Netflix but won’t work more than a few seconds due to poor WiFi. 2.5-3 stars max.

The matresses are always relatively hard, compared to the ones, we are used to in europe, but apparently that’s the case in almost every hotel in this area. The manager was really friendly and helping a lot with bookings for a bus, motorbike renting etc. I recommend this place if you’re searching for a solid and clean place for a cheap price. In Cát Bà you can have bad luck with hotels in the same price range. First we booked in the Orchid for some Euros more, we got a very moldy and dark room, with windows facing the walls of the hotel next door...

Cheap and basic but not very clean
Reviewed By deecleary94For the price your paying it’s hard to complain about this place apart from the cleanliness. The owner is nice and made an effort to speak to me about where I’m from. The room is very basic which would have been fine for the price if it was clean, the bathroom was a bit smelly, the walls were dirty and my pillow case had a weird stain on it. If your on a tight budget it’s not the worse place to stay but if not I would recommend elsewhere.

Lovely Hotel run by a lovely family
Reviewed By yappy32We stayed at Cat Ba Green Hotel as it was the only hotel we could find with all good reviews. This was a great hotel to stay in, it was clean and spacious, some people noted that the beds are too hard but i thought they were fine (and i usually like a soft to medium mattress!) i slept well each night. The ladies who run the hotel were lovely and helpful, and the young lad who helped doing the breakfast was very polite. Also there's a water station which is a great addition. Would definitely stay again!
