Perfect family holiday once again
Reviewed By Bigman1962We stayed here in Dec/Jan 2015 for the Christmas and New Year holidays. There was seven of us and we had the perfect holiday. This year Dec 2017/Jan 2018 we decided to revisit for the same period. There was 11 of us this time around with our sons bringing there girlfriends along and we brought a aunt and uncle for their 50th wedding anniversary. Now I wanted to keep Silberdistel Garni as Bolsterlang "best kept secret" but it would be unfair.( We stayed for 22 nights and I have to say this time it even surpassed the first time around.) All our rooms were spacious with seating areas, good bathrooms and great showers. There are functional kitchens to cook and make snacks but we prefer to eat out and there are numerous fab eating places close by. Good parking and ample storage for ski equipment etc. The wifi is ok but can be up and down due to the mountains and weather and other guests trying to stream.,The breakfasts are awesome and you never tire at the choices of fresh fruit, cheeses, hot and cold meats , yoghurts, cakes etc etc and it is plentiful even for my two meter tall sons with appetites to scare most people. The hosts Timo,Tony,Ingrid and Ellen go out of their way to make your stay sublime. From groceries to bus timetables, ordering taxi's , local info, walks skiing etc they really are the hosts with the most. We had the most wonderful time as a family and being in your home away from home makes the memories last. Don't even hesitate book this place and thank me later for the advice. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we all did.

Coming of age but worth the money
Reviewed By DEOBOHotel service is very helpful, attentive and cordial. Sometimes it does not look like this but it is at its core. The premise was renovated some time ago, is very clean and well temperated. Guest are family with kids mainly and some retirees. Breakfast is really good and big bang for the buck. In summertime the region is by no means as crowded as it must be in wintertime. For a stay in summertime the lifts and cable cars included complementary are really a treat. Two mountain top trips in one day, each day ! Remote location is outside the near by hot spots. Cows are walking by the hotel two times a day on the daily trip to their pasture. Being addressed by nick name as standard may be felt as 'lack of emotional detachment'. Travel with light luggage you will carry it to the third floor.

Urlaub bei den Meixners ist wie Heimkommen

Die Familie Meixner lebt Gastfreundschaft aus vollem Herzen - stets entspannt und unaufgeregt, und in jeder Hinsicht professionell. Die Zimmer und Bäder wurden kürzlich neu und modern gestaltet. Auch auf kleine Details, wie z. B. nach Bedarf änderbare Beleuchtungsmöglichkeiten am Bett und im Bad wurde geachtet und bei der Gestaltung berücksichtigt. Die Zimmer zum Garten verfügen über Balkon mit Bergblick. Beim Frühstücksbuffet hat es an nichts gefehlt: Alles regional, bio (Käse, Wurst, Joghurt) oder auch selbst hergestellt (Brot, Kuchen, Brotaufstriche und Marmeladen). Sehr fein und noch dazu herrlich angerichtet. Gerne geht man auch auf spezielle Wünsche bei Allergien etc. ein und versucht, alles möglich zu machen. Am Abend kann man als Hausgast am vom Chef selbst zubereiteten Abendessen teilnehmen (sehr leckere Suppen vorab und ein leichtes und ebenso schmackhaftes Hauptgericht mit Beilagen) - gerne auch mit Nachschlagoption :-). Am Samstag verwöhnt Gerald zum Abendessen mit sensationellen Kasspatzen. Das darf man sich nicht entgehen lassen... Alles in Allem haben wir die Zeit bei den drei Meixners mehr als genossen und fühlten uns fast wie ein Teil der Familie!

Vintage-Hotel Charivari with Cafe/Restaurant/Pizzeria Wintergarten is located in the idyllic mountain village Bolsterlang. After reconstruction in the spring of 2016, we offer eight rooms of various sizes for 2-4 people. All of them are comfortably furnished with box spring beds and modern bathrooms, some of the new rooms are exclusively decorated in vintage style. From the balconies you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Alps in the south or the mountains of Hörnergruppe the west. Breakfast is a generous and healthy breakfast buffet in the conservatory restaurant on the ground floor. We prepare regional specialties, rösti variations and Italian pasta. Pizza is made in a stone oven. Enjoy homemade cakes, delicious sundaes or creative summer cocktails on our spacious sun terrace. We are a Sky Sports Bar and impart Movelo e-bikes.

Günstige, ruhige und nette Unterkunft
Reviewed By AlpenbergfexWer eine günstige und saubere Unterkunft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist absolut ausreichend mit frischer Wurst und Käse und schmeckt prima. Das Einzelzimmer hat für den günstigen Preis sogar einen Balkon mit einem tollen Blick auf die Voralpen. Nachts ist es sehr ruhig. Ich habe selten nach den anstrengenden Bergtouren so gut geschlafen wie hier. Es war auch kein Problem, schon um 8 Uhr anzureisen. Im Ort selbst ist alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Vielen Dank an die Familie Brandtner - da kommt man gerne mal wieder.
