Good place, but average wine
Reviewed By Sulev NWe went in AWA one night when travelled from Nagorno-Karabakh to Jerevan. The there crew was friendly and helpful, rooms ok enough. We enjoyed our evening in their cozy balcony in front of main entrance. Breakfast was good. But... In evening they offered to taste local wines. The white one was really bad, also was quite bad rose. Red was drinkable. But summa summarum it is good place in Areni, nice views and catherdal in top of hill isn't too far.

great hotel for a stay in the wine region
Reviewed By jellyfishjellyMe and two friends decided to do a road trip through Armenia. Of course, we wanted to stay in the wine region as well and did not regret it at all. We were welcomed very friendly at the hotel and had typical Armenia food for lunch. It was delicious. There are some nearby wine factories for wine tasting which we could reach by feet. Also, you can do wine tasting at the hotel. They have their own wine production and a nice wine cellar where you can try different wines and brandy. We received lots of information about the specific Areni grapes, the region, and the wine production. And actually, the wine in the hotel tasted even better than the ones we tried at other places! In total, nice hotel, clean rooms, good food, awesome wine tasting and very friendly owners.

Great place
Reviewed By monmybikeAn undiscovered gem and probably the best value place in Areni. Don't expect much English but the people are very helpful, and honest. Cooking facilities, wifi and clean facilities. We stayed 2 nights while going to Noravank. A basic cottage with 3 seperate rooms and good bathroom. No signage on the highway. Look for a rusty gate by a small lake and follow it. We'd stay here again

Lovely place to stay in Areni
Reviewed By Maxiturn46We spent 3 nights here and were so happy about our choice. We are immediately warmly welcomed by the friendly Bella and here excellent homemade wine and honey... There are spacious rooms inside where we spent 1 night and we stayed 2 in the little more adventoureous but still very confortable treehouse. Delicious and cheap dinner (including wine and vodka...) and breakfast made from homegrown vegetables; also cooks vegetarian meals. Bella speaks english and can arrange fairly priced tours with their vehicle in the region.

Reviewed By SaKnarikI spent 3 days in Areni Tavern with my friends! The hosts were so nice! The wife cooked really delicious meals for us, and was very friendly! The rooms were clean! The husband took us to Noravank by his Russian Niva with a very nice price, then just gave us a gift tour in the mountains - driving us to the top and showing us the view! It was amazing!

Nice Guesthouse with relax garden
Reviewed By ViviThiesA great little place at my journey through. the Owner from the guesthouse don`t speak english, but he was very friendly. There are two shared rooms and a communal kitchen. The breakfast was good and I have eaten in the nice garden. Buy the very good cheap wine (for me tasted it best on the street) and enjoy it in the evening in the Hammock by candlelight and nature noises.
