Reviewed By astosaWe stayed for 11 nights at Vergina. The staff, room(seafront maisonette), food and atmosphere were fantastic. Service was 10+++/10. Hotel staff helped us to arrange activities to nearby villages and cities. Sun beds were comfy at the beach. Definitely worth staying. Thank you!!

Reviewed By Vacation558937Gem of a hotel, Spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day and change of towels if required. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. 3rd time there and Can't recommend enough. A little bit up a hill from the main street just a 5min walk but the upshot of that is that you get lovely views of the sea.

Fabulous beachside hotel
Reviewed By Andrew BFabulous hotel, all the staff from front desk to restaurants and beachside all excellent. Look out for Manos who runs an excellent evening pool bar. Great location, close to restaurants and shops and just under 30 minutes from the airport, by the bus stop to Chania old town so a great spot. We would put this in the let’s go back box. There were several guests we met who were repeat visitors. Additionally if you are a swim up bar person,look no further.

Santa Marina Beach Hotel is ideally located on the long and sandy beach of Agia Marina village, built along the sea shore, just 8 kilometers from Chania centre. The hotel is separated into two structures; the beach complex and the pool complex, with a combined total of 212 accommodation units. All accommodation units at Santa Marina Beach Hotel have a view either to the garden, pool or to the sea. These are well designed, finely decorated with modern touches, refreshing colors and comfortable furnishings. The pool complex is the most recently redecorated (of the two complexes). The main coastal road separates these two complexes and conveniently linking them is an underground tunnel (easy and safe passage, no need to cross over the main street).

Service throughout the hotel was really good, - all staff polite and professional. Good location with plenty of shops, restaurants and really good beach clubs close by. Short taxi ride to Chania or bus which stops right outside the hotel.

Reviewed By nigelf962We took a cheap deal via Easyjet.Everything about the hotel was excellent.Rooms are basic but very clean and the beds are comfortable.Only slight problem lack of a shower curtain so you had to squat to avaoid spraying the room). Food was excellent much better than expected,we had intended to eat out most nights but ended up using the excellent buffet. Pool area clean and comfortable and excellent bar service. Its a very steep walk down to the beach but the hotel do run a regular shuttle. In all thoroughly recommended

A perfect relaxing spring getaway>
Reviewed By 955leighhWe arrived at Santa Marina Plaza after several changes of hotels by the booking agent in the previous 48 hours. Arrival at Santa Marina Plaza reduced our stress levels immediately. Our original adults only hotel was on a less inhabited part of the coast. However, Santa Marina Plaza is more centrally located for trips to Hania, the Lefka Ori (the magnificent White Mountains) and the west coast. We ended up with a much better hotel option…at least for us. Andreas on reception was welcoming and professional and set the personal attention tone that was apparent throughout our stay. Katrina, also on reception, was an excellent adviser on places to go. The room was perfect with a sea view. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We were on an all-inclusive deal. The food was excellent and included options for vegetarians (plenty of choice) and gluten intolerance. The waiting staff were really friendly and efficient at all times. Barmaid Dorothea soon had our drinks preferences memorised! Alexandros, the Manager, was always on hand ensuring the guests were content, without being obtusive. All in all, a perfect hotel for us. We will return!

Stop searching for your ideal hotel in Crete and book the Elia Agia Marina hotel now, you will not be disappointed. I spent a considerable amount of time searching for the 'idilic' hotel for my family to stay for a weeks holiday in May and decided upon the Elia Agia Marina and I was not disappointed! My wife and I, together with our my two children aged 9 and 11 years absolutely loved the hotel, it's the facilities, the friendly staff, superb hospitality and its location made our holiday. We were collected from the hotel with a complimentary transfer that made the start of our holiday seemless and stress free. We were greeted by the nicest hotel managers and staff who throughout our stay could not do enough for us. The cleaners were amazing and made different animal's out of our towels each day that our kids loved! The waiting staff were so attentive, nothing too much to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We had a Maisonette which had two bathrooms and enabled our kids to have the top floor and allowed us to relax knowing they we safe above us. The rooms are very modern and extremely clean with quality mattresses and bedding that all seemed very new. The entire hotel is so clean, fresh, modern and with a chilled vibe. Breakfast is great with a fantastic variety of food, something for everyone and excellent quality. It is buffet style and you know that before you go so no point complaining once you get there! We ate at different restaurants in the evening for our first few nights, the food was good but a little pricely at places. We then ate at the hotel and the food surpassed everywhere else, the Elia Agia Marina Hotel menu is excellent. The food is cheaper than elsewhere, portions larger and quality better, outstanding ( especially the sea food sourced daily!). The pool is not huge but again we knew that before we went, but it was more than sufficient for what we needed and hey, there is a huge beach with crystal clear blue ocean a couple of steps away!!!! Would we go back, definitely, would we recommend, absolutely! If you want a hotel with all inclusive buffet style food each day and lots of pools don't stay here, if you want a clean, classy, modern hotel with chilled vibe, excellent food and outstanding hospitality with the best location.... book Elia Agia Marina Hotel! Loved it.

Chinese ala carte restaurant
Reviewed By kmash2008As all inklusive gest on Hotel Galini see View, we had booked a table at their Chinese ala carte restaurant. we were presented by the very polite waiter with their menu and their wine list, where we were made aware that we had to pay for the wine. A Little strange now that we were at an all inclusive hotel, but we chose a wine from the card. The Food was okay. We later became aware that we could also get the free wine that was offered in the hotel's main restaurant, but that alternative was never presented to us by the waiter and did not appear on the wine list, so now we feels us a little bit cheated and does not leave the best impression of restaurant/hotel.

Reviewed By R799PDcarlos40 Min transfer from Airport. Hotel Very clean and tidy throughout. Located in a lovely beach front location. Food at every meal was excellent with foods to suit all but the most fussy. There are two bars which offer a good selection of local drinks. The staff are excellent. Rooms are of a good size with the majority having beautiful sea views. Hotel located in an area with plenty of Bars, Restaurants and shops. Sun beds around the pools are free but the ones on the beach carry a daily charge of 6 Euro for two beds and a brolly. Be sure to inform the hotel if you have mobility issues as there can be a lot of steps to climb.
