A waiter will invite you inside this full restaurant, but don't get cheeted anyway.
What I am trying to say is, that the waiter praised the grillplatè to the skies, and said that the "grillmaster" had 20 years of experience in cooking fresh meat on the grill. Me and my friend were very disappointed. Maybe some of their other dishes may be good (that's why the restaurant was full), but the grillplatè was a disaster. Only the souvflaki was thender and there greek meat ball the rest (chicken and lamb was so dry that you hardly could swallow the food after after chewing it very well. So be aware. This is just a one time experience. Do not listen to the waiter, when the grillplatè is excellent. I can cook that meat better. His lame explanation to why the chicken breast was too dry was, that fresh meat is "harder" and needs longer time on the grill and sould be cooked, so it's not raw. I agree that it should not be raw, but a grillmaster with 20 years of experience should still cook it tender and juicy.
Well maybe me and my friend just had a bad one time experience.

We were recommended this place and maybe we chose the wrong dishes but we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Lamb was by far from tender and my daughters pizza was not homemade.
The staff were lovely so we may try again next time.

We are situated in the centre of the old village and have been here for many years. Our building is built entirely out of stone and wood which helps in setting an atmosphere of warmth and good taste. You may prefer to have your meal in our yard which is encircled by much green foliage and many colorful flowers. Our visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Greek dishes cooked in the wood oven. It is worth noting that some recipes are cooked and served in earthenware. The recipes in pottery is cooked over low heat and braise for some time in the oven, achieving the best result in taste. Using the wood oven for baking traditional recipes inclusion and baking pizza. The wood oven has the ability to literally transform the pizza making crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. This is because the temperature in the oven reaches 450 degrees Celsius.

Wow - so much food !!!!! We were 4 persons and were served food for many more !!!! Honestly portions here are to be experienced - my wife and I shared a mixed grill and we were stuffed . My sister in law had pizza and again a gigantic one , brother in law had a T bone steak and again more like half a cow!!!! For people who starve themselves all day in order to have a great evening meal - Horiatiko takes some beating. Great outdoor atmosphere friendly staff and very good and plentiful food - fantastic restaurant!!!!

We found that most of the Tavernas give too much food which can be off putting especially when you have already had a starter. Modern but authentic restaurant.staff very friendly and welcoming. Quirky place. Varied menu. The warmth of the cretan people is so uplifting. We had souvlaki and chicken schnitzel. Delicious. Highly recommend. They cant give you enough free stuff..garlic bread, coffee, dessert, a drink. Their prices are very reasonable. Will be back.

We had one week vacation at Agia Marina. During this time we visited Ear restaurant 4 times. This is a place suitable for especially couples or people that are looking for fine, relaxing dining right next to beach. For children there is also playing area right next to restaurant entrance.
The service was excellent. We did not have to wait long for service and everyone there were so polite. They even replaced the wine glass free of charge when a fly wanted to have a taste of delicious house wine.
The food itself was really good. We had grill mix for 2, and the amount of meat was really enough for 2. Breakfast was also worth every Euro. So much coffee and orange juice (freshly squeezed) that you want at the side of breakfast. We did try out both cretan and english breakfast. There is nothing bad to say about them. As a tip; If you want your eggs well done, yoy better mention that when you order the breakfast :)
Couple of negative things to say also.. During the dinner, waiter brought us some bread. We did not order them and still we were charged.
Another thing that bothered us was that the music was playing quite loudly. At first times so loudly that it was hard to hear my boyfriend's talk over the music. This did change though during the week.
Overall really good experience and i can recommend this restaurant to all visiting Agia Marina.
BTW, really nice views during sun set to the see !

While just strolling around Stalos, I just happened on to the small alleyway which leads to Amina's. This small beach bar is situated directly on the beach which of course makes for an incredible view of the sea. As is typical, I sat at the bar and the friendly bartender took care of me the rest of the afternoon. As it turns out, the bartender is the owner Amina. For 18 years she and her husband have had this wonderful place. They serve breakfast and simple meals, drinks and have beach chairs/umbrellas for rent. All and all this the perfect bar, in the perfect location on the perfect beach in Crete. Go and say hello for me and you will be treated like the VIP you are (you might even get lucky and get to try some of her “special” Raki – so good)…

Not much to say about this restaurant except no welcome to speak of,fried meatballs,no sauce,vine leaves served with soured cream! I ordered salmon - over cooked.my husband had a mixed souvlaki which he said was just acceptable .Not asked if the food was ok,the service was very slow and virtually no interaction.There are many better restaurants locally to visit.Disapointing.

We went here once for dinner and once for lunch, and both times it was delicious. It is a fast food restaurant so no fancy setting, but the food speaks for itself- the gyros are perfect, so tasty, and the pitta bread is incredible! The staff are lovely and so friendly and welcoming, it's definitely worth eating here.
