Beautiful place to stay in Montenegro
Reviewed By a_novikova13Visited villa Katarina in July 2021 with my boyfriend. We were really pleased with all : place/breakfast/beautiful beaches nearby and (very important !) hospitality of the hosts of the hotel! It felt like we were Welcome there and all our needs were served. We ate breakfast every day in the hotel. It always comes with some meat/cheese cold starters, some eggs in different types of serving, cereal, yoghurt, some vegetables, fruit and some sweet treats. No one would be left hungry. As a watermelon and melon person I enjoyed every day with those type of fruit there and it made my summer even better. So thank you for always fresh and delicious start of our morning. Hotel has all necessary when it comes to the technical side of the room: TV/Air conditioner/blow dryer for the hair - all is there.You would find a safe if the room in case you need to use it and warm blankets if you visit during the cold time.There is option to take iron on the reception to use and even possibility to borrow a beach umbrella for the day and beach towels. We stayed in room 11 and our balcony faced the pool of this hotel. It is surrounded by the olive and figue tree. Very cozy and we enjoyed having coffee in the evening with this beautiful view. The other very important reason to choose Villa Katarina - is the most beautiful beaches in withing few minute walk. Przno Beach is about 5 minute walk but it is a bit crowded with all people on the deck chairs and many people there. Another beach is Queen's Beach which we visited the most in 7 min walk and it has very beautiful view and shadow to hide in during the hot day. Next one on the road is Milocer and it is a bigger version of Queen's beach- beautiful, surrounded by coniferous forest and with plenty room to lay in. The last but not the least- Sveti Stefan which you can reach in withing 15 min walk alongside the beach paths and enjoy incredible view. The beach there is crowded though so we preferred the previous 2 ones better. In about 5 min walk you have bus station to the city which can take you to any other beach or to the Budva old town in 15 min. So we were completely happy with the choice of the hotel and would like to recommend it to everyone who is planning to have calm and relaxing trip to Montenegro in the cozy place where all is in withing few minute walk and in the place where atmosphere is friendly and comfortable! Highly recommend! Thank you for an amazing trip!

The owners Merko and his brother are wonderful hosts...they went above and beyond whenever we had requests for extra services as did their staff. We will be back next year !!!!!

Reviewed By EdmondDantes_10Good location in Petrovac (5-10 min walk to the beach), but overall I have to say this was a disappointing experience (not in line with the reviews seen here). *Pros: close to the beach, quiet, decent breakfast (albeit for an extra 8 EUR), space outside with a table/chairs and a small kitchen, sea view *Cons: parking ~400m walk away (I measured; and parking is not easy to access - owner actually insisted on parking our car himself given the steep ramp), bathroom had many issues (coat hanger way too high, broken tap, leaking shower hose, visible electrical wires coming out of the wall…), relatively expensive given the quality (we had better rooms for almost half the price elsewhere, but I realize this may be the local market on the busy Adriatic coast…) All in all, I would look for another option if ever back to this area.

Reviewed By Feniks AOwners of this apart hotel are is a friendly family! They were more than helpful with everything! The room was very clean that even my mom appreciated its hygiene who normally cleans the bathroom first thing after checking in the hotel. It is also spacious. It has a Parking area too. It might be a little crowded so you should park carefully but still we could use it every night. The hotel is like 10 mins walk from the old town and the harbour are which is the center of fun and night life in Budva. I might definitely prefer here again if I visit Budva.

Everything you need is there: nice and polite working stuff, cosy and clean rooms and quiet in the night!))) It has a swimming pool on the roof and terrace for having some meal or to take a sunbath) The view from there is amazing!

Reviewed By OnwardTravellerNice location up the hill roughly above the old town which is just 5-10 minutes walk down the hill. Smallish rooms but clean tidy and with all you need. Friendly staff. One on-site parking place though parking on the narrow lane is possible. Close to the harbour, promenade and plenty of eateries.

Reviewed By voyagewithmelGreat, well-furnished apartment, with all the necessary amenities - great for a short or a longer stay. We spent a few days here and really enjoyed the place, the host was very friendly and helpful, and accommodated all our needs. The balcony unfortunately didn't have the nice sea view as we were on the lower floor apartment, but that wasn't a big problem for us. Overall it's a great place to stay, a few minutes walk to the center downhill which if you're in good shape would be a nice form of exercise!

Reviewed By flyup007We stayed at this property from 7th to 15th August 2018 and all was good. Owner and his family that run the business are friendly and always ready to help. They speak English. We were late and owner rang us and ask about and did his best to help us to find the location. Location of the property it is very good because it is in a town and you will have all that you need, like supermarket, restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy at minutes walking distance. Very close to property it is one restaurant Kafana Stela where you can eat good food at decent price and services are fast. Slovenska beach is @ 12 minute walking distance. If you choose to go in Muntenegro, try to go by car or rent one there. Budva is the best location because is close to many interesting points like Jaz beach, Sveti Stefan, Becici with nice beach, Mogren beach (the best and most beautiful for me) and not so far from Kotor. Budva old town is fantastic and Kotor for true is one of the most beautiful place in the world. All rooms have balcony and are clean, well equipped with all that you need in. Towels were changed almost daily and sheets one time in 8 nights. Also they have electronic safe in the room with no charge. They offer free parking to all of the guests and that is very good because in Budva is a real problem to find parking spot in busy season. Internet wireless worked good in the room. Breakfast it is Suedish buffet style, was fresh, tasty and varied. The breakfast room is nice and new. Property was refurnished and all looks nice. Personally I was in many hotels but at this time I have nothing to complain about. Of course, like everywhere, there is always room for better but this owner and his family did them best for us and we had a great stay there. Excellent hospitality. If I go again in Budva they are my 1st choice and I already recommended this property to all my friends. Thank you for everything! Just one advice if you want to go with boat tour avoid to use Montenegro Cruising Agency situated in Mainski Put street, they had very bad organization and when we went to Blue Cave we were in one boat like fishes in a can. Ask before to go about everything because at 1st the price for tour was 15 Euros/ person but no one told us that if I want to go to Blue Cave you have to pay another 3 Euros/ person what is not that much but the conditions to go there were bad.
