Great value hotel
Reviewed By Tania NVelden has a picturesque setting and many expensive hotels. We were looking for mid range and found Rocket rooms. Situated fairly central, not far to the casino and bars. Room was small but spotlessly clean, new and a large comfy bed. Sabina, the lady in the resteraunt, was really friendly & helpful, told us what was on in Velden and how to get about and what to see. Breakfast was continental and available till 11. We really enjoyed our stay at Rocket Rooms and would comeback again and again. Great value for money!

Good location but bad service
Reviewed By NS202020Unfortunately I cannot recommenced to stay here longer than a weekend. When we arrived after long travel we were not warmly welcomed at all, had to wait for 20 minutes at the really hot restaurant terrace until a really unfriendly lady gave us the check in letter. Also the hotel has no elevator, which makes it hard when you have heavy luggages. The foods in the restaurant are totally overpriced, better you go in town for dinner. It takes 10 minutes to prepare a beer even you stand in front of the bar! The owner was quite friendly but should invest in trainings and team members! The hotel has no own bathing area! Anyways, the Wörthersee is a nice place!

Lovely hotel
Reviewed By Ron DHotel Vinzenz is a very sympatic family hotel, si not huge, and that is good. It is located 4km from Velden. You can go from hotel to Velden and back, on foot, there is walkway all way long to the center of Velden. Rooms are large and with wide balcony. Absolutely everything was very clean. Stuff and owners was helpfull and nice. Beach is just across the road, with grass, some trees, sunbeds and umbrellas. Cheers!

70s Hotel, no shower, excellent breakfast, top location
Reviewed By So_Cal_82We stayed for two nights in August, it was around 33°C outside and even more in our room. Even in the night it was super hot, I hardly slept. The bed itself was very nice, the cushion was too hard for me but thats almost all the time the case. The Hotel itself is located directly at the lake and in walking distance to Wörthersee Castle/Velden downtown. Parking is possible on the property but pretty steep. The room is still the same as in the 70s, strong colors, wooden interieur, and no shower. There is only a hand shower in the bathtub, I have never seen that before. The windows are from the 70s and have no isolation. Tip: do not chose a room on the west side (facing the Schloßhotel) as it gets really hot in summer (no shades, no curtains). The breakfast was really excellent, absolutely stunning, so many choices from different (local) ham, cheeses, pickles, tomatoes, dried tomatoes, veggies, eggs, jams, honeys, cereals, lots of fresh bread, juices, coffee.. everything is there. And all of that on the very nice patio with lake view. Bottom line: if you book in advance for a good price and you get a room on the east side, it is a very nice hotel. But for more than 200 per night, in summer on the west side, I would not do it again.

Not a great hotel
Reviewed By lalalaggIt is rated 4 stars but I would give it two maximum. 1 for the breakfast and one for the facilities. I did not give it 3 more because the staff were very rude, our rooms were not good and smelt of food. They did have a pool and that was probably the best thing.

Use of the swimming area

The hotel post guests have a reserved area but others may pay an entrance fee to go swimming. It’s fantastic. It’s clean, green and our favorite place to relax at the Wörthersee Make sure to show your Wörthersee pass as you get a discount on entrance and chair rentals Highly recommend the walk from city center to get here

Disaster stay
Reviewed By patricksammutOur room was facing south and it becomes boiling hot during the day. Windows cannot be opened due to insects coming in room and no insect screen available in any door or window. 3 motors operated 24 hrs just under our terrace with noises. Water dripping in our terrace from above apartments 24 hrs non stop. Last but worst thing , we opted for this stay to have a relaxed stay and we find out that there are surprise private parties till early hours in the morning with full blast music and shouting . Sleeping impossible, guests complaining and we had to drive 4 hrs the following morning ! Photos make it look a peaceful location but it is a nightmare !!!

Reviewed By dvir cThe motel is nice and beautiful, we came on October so the motel was empty. The room has heating and refrigerator, the tv is 14". The shower drain block, the towels is very small. No elevator so we goes up 3 levels with suitcases. The location is far from stores but close to the lake.
