Not super expensive, quite, beautiful place with rice paddies view. Stayed in deluxe room with a vast terrace and a rice paddies view accompanied by full moon that time. There was yummy breakfast next morning and relaxing massage by terapist, Loli. She is lovely, knows and loves her job. All the staff were friendly too. Hope you will have a wonderful stay here.

Especially because of the amazing and professional therapist/massager Putu. Her massages brought the happiness of walking and sleeping without pain. Wish the best for my therapist Putu for her sullen and proffessionalism.

Our room was spacious and comfortable and the view from our verandah out across the rice fields and the valley was stupendous. Ayu and Uma, the two young women who staff the place were charming, kind and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and generous and the several lunches and dinners we ate were also recommendable. Very close to at least a couple of other places to dine, if you want a change. This is a really sup[erb, great value place.

Reviewed By duckegghealesvilleGiri Carik was absolutely beautiful, run by the nicest family. The rooms had a magnificent view of Mt Agung( all but the lower two), as does the pool and restaurant. Pool was just the right temperature and so very pretty. Rooms were perfect, no aircon needed, shower lovely and warm instantly with good pressure. Bed comfy and clean. The restaurant was delicious, hardly needed to go any where else for meals. Ask them about the passion fruit and ice cream..... so good. I went home with my bag stuffed with passion fruit generously gifted. Massage x3, arranged by hotel, cheap price and great strong therapist Nunga. Also did a scenic Rice Terrace walking tour,again organised for me. Don’t hesitate to stay, you will love it!!!

Sweet Escape. Your secret jungle resort. If you stay for 3 nights or more you get 1 free floating breakfast in the pool! A truly unique and exotic way to experience the most important meal of the day :) In a very local, remote and authentic place of Bali. The REAL Bali. You can see the rice terraces and Mount Agung from our resort. Did we mention we make our own coconut tree wine?

Unprofessional Staff
Reviewed By BelindaPiccioliVery disappointed with unprofessionalism of the staff at Griya Valud Sidemen. Already tried so many times contacting them through social media but no reply. Called them to their land line and their social media, no body picked up. After trying a week then they reply and confirm my booking. They have asked 50% deposit in advance to secure the booking which I already sent but 1 week prior to my arrival they said that they received another booking from OTA that I need to move to other room unless I pay in full. They even mentioned that it is already hotel regulation while none of this regulation is stated in confirmation letter. Very unprofessional and would worry about my trip there if I continue this, therefore decided to cancel my booking overall.

Wonderful little place in Sidemen!
Reviewed By Sean HWe were going to stay two nights and extended to 3 because this place was so delightful and welcoming. Located in the heart of quiet little Sidemen, each room is its own little cabin with veranda, where you can eat meals including the breakfast included with the room. Each cabin has a lovely view of the surrounding fruit plants, some of which will provide your juice and fruit salad for breakfast. There is a small pool, which is great at the end of a sweaty day walking in the rice fields. And the best part is that the staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They arranged for transport for a day to surrounding villages and puras of our choosing, and another day they arranged for a guide to trek through the rice fields (you can walk right from the homestay, but we found that walking with a guide was much better than trying to figure out where to go ourselves, and he was nice and informative, too). We splurged for the most expensive cabin with the nicest view, $35/night. This is the most luxurious place we have stayed in Indonesia, and the price seems very low compared to others. All rooms have mosquito nets and ceiling fans and hot water; there was no need for air conditioning in November. We highly recommend this homestay.
