Reviewed By Alexander PWe stayed at 3-bed family room, 26 000 rubles for 4 nights with breakfast, + 2 000 rub. for the crib. In fact, it didn’t come in handy for us, the children slept on a big one. High rating, good location, center, but on a not very passable street, own parking, room clean enough and not tired. The central heating system was fried mercilessly, we lived almost all the time with the windows open, it warm outside thou. The room is, in fact, two rooms separated by a small corridor, one had one bed, the other two. Each room has its own mini-fridge, TV set, bathroom, table, kettle, etc. for 4, we had two bathrooms, two refrigerators, two kettles, etc. A microwave, water cooler, tea bags and sugar were shared on the floor. At the reception you can buy coffee from a coffee machine for 50 rubles, as well as a minimal selection of drinks and snacks. Breakfast is a set of specific dishes for every day of the week. Daily it is necessary to check at the reception that you want to eat at the next day and what time. In the reviews there were a lot admirations about breakfast, from the series “I didn’t eat anything tastier in life!” and "delicious". Well I do not know. For me it three of five. The choice is great, yes - breakfast includes porridge, some omelet or dumplings, and a roll with sausage \ sandwich, a salad from vegetables \ an egg with peas, a dessert as cake \ pancake \ cheese cake, plus yogurt and a drink of your choice. It all seemed to us not very tasty, all the time there was kind of heavy aftertaste in the stomach, and the children didn’t eat anything at all, although they are omnivorous enough. But I didn’t worry about the children, they don’t eat much on vacation. Choice of café and restaurants in Sergiev Posad is below average. In general, the hotel is normal, not counting the high price tag. It also bothered what they called to us - two weeks before arrival, then three days later - “Are you going to come to us, dear guests, haven’t you changed your mind?” Although in the reservation we have a free cancellation without penalties and any prepayments until 14:00 of the day of arrival! It all bothered me very much, I was directly nervous, there was a feeling that they want to sell our room very much to the left and more expensive, but apparently the reservation made at the Booking.com stopped them from this step. As a result, on the day of arrival in the morning we called and said that we would arrive. And yes, only cash! In principle, you can and should take cash in Sergiev Posad, you can pay with a card in some places. In general, the hotel is fine, although if your plans are determined in advance than ours, then something may turn up cheaper.

Reviewed By VictoriaL2842I was totally excited by hospitality of staff and the same time owners of the hotel. Marina was very friendly and helpful, intelligent and well-groomed woman. Rooms are small, but cosy. Hotel is also very close to the center. Big minus is lack of elevator and no staff to help with bags. You have to bring your own luggage to the room.

Reviewed By Evgeny GHad a family trip to Abramtsevo for 2,5 days. My wife searched the Net for couple of days before finally choosing Galereya hotel. Out of 10-15 simular places this one had better reviews. To be honest its not a WOW place to stay, but its hotel (that needs a little renovations) with a beautifull nature around, competent staff (may be a little bit slow sometimes). There are pool and spa area within the hotel. Rooms are nice and big with all washing accesories in the bathroom. The hotel has little animal farm with racoons, peacocks, rabbits and a goat. There are 2 children palying rooms on the ground floor. to conclude i have to say that its a worthy place for families with young children or for those whos over fifty. and its not that cheap.

Reviewed By AlexRushingWhen we drove in we didn't realize how close it is located to the center or more specifically to Lavra, the city's main attraction. It's 5 minutes on foot. Great location. There's good parking. The facilities seem very new, very well and beautifully done. Everything was perfectly clean and my wife routinely checks with white napkins and towels. Reception was quick and friendly. There's an air conditioner. Bathroom was good size, very clean and nicely done. Breakfast could be improved but wasn't bad. Overall an excellent experience.

Good, Clean, Basic Hotel Around the Corner from Monastary
Reviewed By Dumpling79I stayed one night at the Central Hotel. I had a basic double room which was clean, simple and had a comfortable bed. The staff at reception were helpful in answering questions on where to eat, where to go and transportation. The wifi in the room was also fast and reliable. The prices are very reasonable for the good location and comfortable stay. The only reason I give this hotel a 4 our of five is simply because its quite basic without any frills, but thats also ok for a short stay. It is on a quiet street with many old style, wooden Russian village houses, great for photography and the main sights of Sergiev Posad are literally just around the corner. Best Russian food I had on the whole trip was at Cafe Brinza just down the street.

Reviewed By Natabol410The hotel is located 5 min walk from the Trinity Lavra with it's beautiful cathedrals and churches. There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants with traditional Russian, Georgian and European cosine literally opposite the hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was cosy and warm. Breakfast was included, we had to book it a night before, so it was freshly cooked, but very limited. Breakfast options could be better, offering fresh bread and pastries, eggs and coffee.

Very disappointing experience!
Reviewed By Al0chkaI booked my parents this hotel, because it was a good location and at first everything looked good and clean, but on the first day my mom jewelry disappeared. They had to go to police about that, nothing was found. After leaving to go home to St.Petersburg they were missing an envelope with my moms documents (visa, passport, important things!), when they called to the hotel they said that doesn’t happen and they can’t help, you have to call in an hour and talk to the manager. In an hour everything was found, but my mom had to personally picked it up! Next day she flyes there , gets her envelope with documents and jewelry in there too. No one was apologetic, the staff had an attitude and they basically went through her luggage to find all of that! Very disappointed in a hotel, would not recommend!
