Reviewed By PeterAndNataliaStayed 1 night after a 3 day tour to Punta Gallinas. Clean hotel with very average ammentities. No window in the room (none have outside windows). No hot water and broken shower head. Shower floor sloped away from drain so water went onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast was below average - tiny bit of scrambled eggs and a dry piece of toast. Really? WiFi worked, but slow. Location is good - only 5 minutes walk to restaurants on the coast. Would not stay again. Better options in the area.

Reviewed By 155paulawLovely hotel. It has a pleasant garden and a nice swimming pool. Our room, 105, was large and well equipped. The best place we have stayed in Colombia. The aircon is efficient. WiFi was satisfactory. The breakfast and lunches were good. The staff were friendly and helpful., especially as my husband was ill and needed a bit of extra looking after. We would definitely come back here again.

Reviewed By Go09917I arrived via bus from Santa Marta, intending to travel on to Cabo de la Vela, and a taxi driver and I found this hotel after trying a couple others -- I wanted to be relatively close to the beach. Sanitizer and Covid-19 protocols in place from the moment I arrived at the property, and the staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. Very comfortable bed, good air conditioning and spotless room and common areas. I got to Cabo de la Vela the next day and because of circumstances, I had to spend the night there and return to Riohacha the next day. One phone call to Hotel Brisas del Nare and all was good. The breakfast is excellent, and it is less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beach and there are many nearby restaurants from which to choose to find an evening meal. Although I really liked to the physical facilities of the hotel, it was the staff that made my stay comfortable and pleasant --- genuinely nice people running this hotel in Riohacha. I will return on my next trip to Guajira --- to try kite surfing!

A wonderful, well-managed and clean hostel/ budget hotel
Reviewed By zayatssWe stayed at this place two nights and I couldn't be more satisfied. For 60k we got a two twin bedroom with a separate bathroom. Everything was clean, efficient and just overall well thought out. It was about a 10 min walk to the beach. The breakfast is extra, but it was very good as well. The lady in charge was very friendly and coordinated transport for us and held our stuff while we went to Punta Gallinas. There was a bit of noise from neighbors blasting music, but you couldn't hear it in rooms. Overall, it is a great place to stay, where comfort is taken seriously

Reviewed By Michaela BWir waren nur eine Nacht in der Unterkunft, aber ab dem Betreten gab es 100% Service. Man hat uns geholfen eine Tour für La Guajira zu finden, es gab Infos zur Umgebung und wird konnten einen Teil unseres Gepäcks während unserer 3-Tagestour im Hotel lassen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, endlich gab es wieder mal eine funktionierende Dusche mit Warmwasser und ausreichend Wasserdruck - eine Seltenheit in Kolumbien! Abends gab es die Möglichkeit sich an einem mit diversen Getränken und Snacks gefülltem Kühlschrank selbst zu bedienen. Kurz, ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich empfehlen.

I had to go around the desk and find the reservation on the hotel's computer screen! The hotel did not reserve the requested room type. The room itself looked like a prison cell. The beds were as hard as a rock and the pillows like pancakes! No lamps just a overhead light. We could hear all the noise from the hallway. The restaurant is only open from 7am to 8.30am for breakfast??!!?? The food and service were just awful. I understand that this is a low star hotel but the service and room do not justify the low price. Just awful.

The room had several problems: a/c sometimes not working, the shower had problems with water, and during a rainy day the water entered from the roof. Food is great, but repetitive. The breakfast, that is amazing, is always the same. Lunch and dinner are very good, especially goat and fish. Finally, I did not like tha cages with animals inside, birds and monkey. I don't think it is so nice for these poor animals.

Reviewed By Colombia-road-travelAfter my week stay in and around Santa Marta and Tayrona I drove over to Riohacha and by the time I got into town it was dark and late, nothing more than coincidentally I ended up in front of this hotel, I had no reservation but was greeted nicely at the front reception desk, got a room and ended up staying 2 nights just to relax and unwind. At 200 mil a night it is in my opinion expensive given this is Riohacha and the hotel is old and dated but despite this I was pleased with the good breakfast, friendly staff, good pool which I used and the location cant be beat. I have no reason to ever return to Riohacha but if I do I would actually consider staying here again so yes I could recommend this hotel.
