Perfect service and room quality, cute staff and good placement have made our journey really exciting. First of all the hotel gave me & my bride Family room instead of Standard — pretty large & comfortable one. After that we were asked about our preferences for the breakfast, and that was another surprise: everything we marked was cooked & warm at 9:00 a.m., just in time we mentioned for the breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable, the same is about the kitchen: I'm sure, mini-hotels have their own benefits, and the cosiness is probably the one of them. Everyday the room was cleaned, towels & bathrobes — changed, we were provided with toothbrushes, shampoos, shoe brushes and so on, even with an umbrella, when the weather was cloudy. So the hotel made a good impression about the whole trip, and that's the first time from more than 10 journeys over the last 3 years when I really want to recommend the hotel to the others.

Very cosy and convenient
Reviewed By UsaFrequentflyerWe stayed at Hotel Joy for 2 nights during the World Cup in June 2018, and were very impressed by this small hotel. This was probably the busiest and most stressful period that the city has seen, and yet the hotel staff were very welcoming and kind to all of their guests. We arrived very early in the morning and despite being at full capacity the night before, the hotel staff very quickly turned over a room for us as soon as one was free so that we were able to check in early - much appreciated after our overnight train to Nizhny. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and ours had a kettle, microwave and fridge. We slept very well - comfy beds, very little street noise and an excellent air conditioning unit. Breakfast, served in our room and pre-ordered the night before, was delicious with plenty of options for every preference. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the location was absolutely perfect - I don't think we could have found a better location in the Old Town! Only slight drawback was a complicated wifi system that isn't very friendly for foreigners (you need to receive a code by text to enable the hotel's wifi and the code never arrived to our non-Russian mobile phones), but the hotel staff helped us to work this out. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Reviewed By veroschiSergievskaya Hotel was a wonderful experience. Nizhny is an incredible city and staying at this hotel makes the whole difference. We felt so welcome, the rooms (suites) were incredibly big, complete and clean. The receptionists were so kind and welcoming. Walking distance (8 minutes) through a marvelous area to the city center. No doubt will stay there again if we have the chance to go back to Nizhny.

On my point of view good for travellers with car, far from touristic attractions, however they have shuttle to city centre from morning to evening. Breakfast is not rich but ok and includes in price.

Reviewed By demian11stayed there for a week in the luxury room, overall a pleasant experience. The room is in the basement with no view, but this is compensated by the big size which made it feel spacious, but still cosy and intimate thanks to the colors and layout. looking forward to our next stay :) few notes: - Staff was very helpful, issues were resolved quickly. (like fixing AC) - The hotel & cafe is oriented towards russian-speaking guests, so it's helpful to bring translation eqipment. - WIFI Signal was particularly bad in our room, too weak for phones to connect. Was not a big issue as we used mobile data, but hopefully it gets fixed.
