Lovely friendly hotel
Reviewed By traveller1ViennaThis small family run hotel is situated just outside Murau and within easy walking distance to the town. It’s set in a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and a small bio swimming pond. It’s typical land house style with indoor and outdoor terrace restaurant. The rooms are large and very tastefully furnished, lots of space and a balcony overlooking the garden. The bed was very comfortable, large bathroom with bath and shower and toilet extra. There are plenty of sun lounges in the garden and you certainly don’t have to worry about social distancing. There is also a lovely spa area with heated swimming pool. Bathrobe and slippers are also provided. Breakfast was excellent. The buffet offered everything including homemade cakes and egg dishes which were made fresh on request. In the evening we ate in the restaurant which was very good. Lots of choice, large portions, reasonable prices and friendly service. The wine was also very good and not overpriced. You are made very welcome and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I can certainly recommend this hotel

Reviewed By Niki LHaving been several times over the years to this warm friendly and welcoming Restaurant. We decided to book the Surprise meal to celebrate my partners Birthday. We had no idea what would be served as it is just that a Surprise. We were certainly not disappointed ? Thankyou so much to the two Chef's who created these delightful dishes, a 5 course meal and not one thing on these dishes would we have changed. They were all absolutely delicious, the flavours in each dish complimented each other so well, they were mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. Excellent value for money. We would highly recommend trying it to any customers who may be curious. Thankyou Hotel Laercher for a wonderfully relaxed evening and simply delicious food. ?

Very good restaurant
Reviewed By Kurt WWe stopped 2 times on our last trip at Egidiwirt in Murau. In both cases we had very good food, even if we came not at lunch time on our way back. There is a very nice garden and it is great to sit there. We visited the restaurant only.

Good solution if stay in Murau
Reviewed By KzozeeThe hotel is in a very good location. There is a small parking place mostly for motorcycles becouse that place basically a biker point. The breakfast is ok, nothing extra but good enough. The staff like the gosts, they are dissapear all day, but,if you need a good beer they appear prompt. Rooms are clean and nice, our windows in front of the greek, that was very nice. Price is fair enough so this is a recommended place.

You feel like being part of teh family in the middle of the alps
Reviewed By mabeyer2018I go there about 2-3 times per year. Very friendly family atmosphere. Very clean and a nice view from the terrace. Good food also hungry people will be satisfied. You have to eat the Fladensuppe and of course try the BAckhendl.

A város a leírással szemben gyalogosan elég messze van, különösen egy átsíelt nap után, a bolti bevásárlást is inkább kocsival lehet megoldani. Sajnos a síbusz nem jár arrafelé,ugyanakkor nagyon csendes környék. Ja, a hajópadó miatt a háziak erősen elvárják, hogy az utcai cipődet az ajtó előtt tegyed le....

fantastic apartment with great views
Reviewed By tappers1279we stayed in the most wonderful apartment here - very light and bright, it was dual aspect with balconies and fantastic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. it was very comfortable with everything needed with a self-catering stay. and the hostess was a huge help with local travel advise. it is in a fantastic location up the mountain - very quiet and peaceful.

Simple accomodation in the centre of Murau
Reviewed By Ludo_LimbachThis guest-house is situated in the historical centre of Murau that is on one hand certainly an advantage, on the other hand it can make a complications, mainly because of limited parking. Guests of the pension can park in the nearby square but for free only in the evening and night, so If you come to the pension during the day or want to leave the pension after 8 a.m. you have to go to meter and pay for parking. That is not very convenient for guests and it does not correspond with announcement on (especially reservation) web pages that nearby public parking is free of charge. The price for double bed room was more than reasonable. On the other hand the room was really modest, the shower cabin in the bathroom relatively tight so it was a bit complicated to take a shower comfortably. Moreover we found a few stains on the blanket. We went for a dinner to nearby pizzeria on the recommendation of owner of pension but on return we have not been able to open main door of the guest-house by none of the keys (two pieces) that was given to us by the owner upon our arrival. Therefore we had to ring the bell late evening and waited approximately five minutes for opening the door. Later it turned out one of the keys was wrong. The offer of meals for breakfast was sufficient. But if I compare this three star pension with other three star hotels and guest-houses we have visited during our latest ski trips in Austria this one lags behind others.

Short, pleasant stay
Reviewed By Peter HThe Pesion is located in a scenic environment, surrounded by the Austrian Alps. Roughly 25 mins driving distance from the slopes of Kreischberg. The house is by the main road, however traffic is scarce, as such there is hardly any noise intrusion. we had booked a 2 room apartment, which turned out to be just perfect for our little family. Klemens is a very agreeable and attentive host, we were made most welcome. I recommend his Pension to anyone wishing to spend a few days around Murau.
