Reviewed By MickiewiczAnnaGreat location! Everything is close at hand: bus stops, sightseeings, cafes, shops. The rooms are very clean, tidy, spacious and light. The stuff is really hospitable. Also, in the evening it was a pleasure to go for a walk along the central street (Prospekt Mira) and then come round to Ryumochnaya which is located in the same house with the hotel. Recommend this hotel to everyone!

Reviewed By Michael SWe arrived late at night by train and had some trouble to find the entrance in the cellar (i recommend a better sign :-) ) The receptionist spoke fluent english and showed us our very clean and nice double bed room. At the breakfast we got to know the owners and their great cherry-vareniki. It was no problem to let our luggage after checkout at their place while we did some sightseeing and skiing. That's the way every hostel should be!! great!

Reviewed By DanO68Considering where you are, this is a pretty decent hotel. I spent a week recently in the Norilsk area and used this hotel as a base. I found it very comfortable and functional, surprisingly good for a remote Arctic mining town. It has its quirks, but overall I had a good stay here. The hotel is located in the town of Talnakh, about 20km away from Norilsk city and the nasty smelters. Talnakh town is fairly boring and lacks character but the air is quite clean and fresh and there are nice forests around (unlike Norilsk). The rooms are basic but comfortable. I always had a really good sleep – except the one night where the disco was pumping at full volume. The bathroom was a bit smelly and the hot water supply wasn’t reliable, but in general things seemed to work fine. There is free Wifi in the rooms however it was extremely slow and only worked about 25% of the time. The room was clean and serviced daily. The restaurant was reasonably good. I ate all of my meals there (set menu) and never had the same thing twice. The food quality was good and reasonably tasty. The gym also was surprisingly good. I wasn’t expecting much, but found it to be well equipped with brand new gear – cardio gear, free weights, and machine weights – as well as a ping-pong table. The gear is all fairly low quality but it is new and it does the job. There is also a sauna at the hotel which is really nice after a day spent in the cold wind and rain. Overall, recommended for any travelers staying in the Norilsk area – a good comfortable base.

Reviewed By sk8triplejsWe booked a stay at the Budget Hotel but we never made it. When the shuttle picked us up at airport they took us to an apartment that we did not book. Russians claimed hotel had technical issues...The apartment was in a sketchy area on 12th floor with NO escape exit and the door locks did not work well. We got locked out of the apartment 1st day and called to request a move to a hotel where someone spoke English because if we needed anything we didn't know where to go. It felt like a big SCAM... They were not happy but they came an moved us to Hotel Arteparts. I will review this hotel under separate cover.
